Anyone having humidity problems?

Ive been battling very dry rooms the last few weeks im talking low 10's its peak is 15 sometimes in both rooms. ive seen a bunch of home remedies to increase the humidity. i keep the flower room between 76-80 its peak is about 84-86 whenever im running co2 but that only for about 20 mins of that much heat. The veg room stays at about 81-82 with the same humidity. so, since i dont have the funds to purchase 2 cheap humidifiers. ive currently got a huge towel in each room soaked in water to raise humidity i heard that works but im trying to reach from about 10-15% humidity to about 50% for flower and 60-70% for veg. my leaves are starting to become papery in the veg room. so its time to act. ive laid out a few pans of water as well.

But my main goal is to see what everyone else has, who has any home made humidifier projects they would like to share? i need something powerful enough to go from 10% to constant 60-70 in my veg room not a whole lot worried about the flower room right now the towel and pan makes it peak to 35 at times but thats it plants are fine in their. the rooms are insulated pretty good since its a finished basement so i think the humidity is going to the insulation. anyways let me see whats up with yall!

My house is always at 10% my bloom room is at 10 also cause of the a/c. I use a regular humidifier and put it in the corner and it brings it up to at least 40.

Why don't you buy one of those vaporizer from the drug store the kind you use when you are sick. Put distilled water in it and put it on a timer. That should increase the R/H in your room, and it is a cheap fix.

Its a simple fix if i a had money lol but the leaves on the flowers in the veg room are starting to feel really dry and papery like they might break in half if i folded one. they are crispy. still a lovely green just real dry.

I'd say, worst case scenario, keep them well-watered so they can deal with the extra water loss:

cool air humidifier. about 100 bucks but it will put out like 5 gallons of water a week and will also help lower the temps about 1 degree lol. most humidifiers raise temp though so any negative heat is good during the summer especially.

having a water source with a sponge or something near one of the fans can work as well.

I have a few pans laid out with a little water. every so often ill go in the veg room and spray mist everywhere humidity gets up to about 50 for about 20 mins lol

Spray mist for dirt cheap, or buy a $30 cool mist humidifier from target in the baby section.

Yup thats what ive been doing in the veg room dont really want to be spraying in the flower room right now.

I use a commercial humidifier. If you want to do it right get one of those and a timer. You can hook it up directly to a water source so you dont have to keep filling it. Or run a gravity fed system with large res.

I'm growing with 20% humidity with no issues. Done it a bunch in the past too. Higher humidity during veg is definitely better like 50%-70% but low humidity isn't necessarily a bad thing

That's true. I never had issues with humidity until this grow. I had rh 15-17% and my plant leaves were super crinkled. Got my humidity up to 45%-50% and the issue went away.

Thats really the issue im having here i have very healthy plants but crispy leaves and the only thing to fix that is humidity. but when you have no money for a good humidifier i hae to choose home methods. so far so good i can keep it at 20-30 in both rooms i will HAVE to buy one for the veg room. also low humidity can cause an infestation with bugs if not careful. luckily i have organic insecticides that work really well.

Yeah. I hear ya. I didny want to have to buy a 250$ humidifier. But itwas either that or lose my crop. DefinItaly would have lost out on more than 250$ if I didnt. Any home remedy couldn't keep up with my room. The commercial humidifier goes through 15 gal of water a day.

Dang man, thats a lot of water you are pushing. im just trying to keep my levels stable in a 11'x11'x8' room both of them are same rooms. the veg room is my only worry humidity isnt really needed much in flower since they get most of their moisture at night. but below 10% humidity isnt great in a veg room low humidity also causes bugs i hate bug luckily i dont have any though.

I would be happy to trade you. my humidity is 85% out side and inside the same unless I run 3 dehumidifiers . well 2 ac units and a dehumidifier . so I am killing 6000 watts so I don't get bud rot to keep it under 55 % . all you have to do is boil water . or pore water onto the floor or spray your plants or get a vaporizer even from a drug store for 20 bucks that don't use any electricity . want to trade ? issues

I am running 4k watts with a 24k btu minisplit. The ac kills humidity in my room.

you have enough pot to fill.an 11x 11 x8 room but cant spare 30$ at a pharmacy?
try a goodwill store,or used baby clothes store for a humidifier...5bucks.

because i spent all my money and other peoples money on getting this all setup and going without any problems. middle of june in my harvest so ill def be able to get a humidifier for next pull.
