It's OK, according to Doer, the Gyre doesn't kill very many animals so it is OK.
I see dead animals all over the sides of the road whenever I drive anywhere. So there's that. It's OK, according to Doer, the Gyre doesn't kill very many animals so it is OK.
Maybe you should walk more.I see dead animals all over the sides of the road whenever I drive anywhere. So there's that.
So I don't see them?Maybe you should walk more.
It is because the people who feed them their views fund pseudoscience to deny reality. Those captains of industry who have captivated the right, can see clearly and correctly that these environmental issues (which they have caused and the rest of us are accomplices through consumerism) will force society to choose between economy and ecology.I would like to say I am not a politician nor a scientist. I do not know if global warming is a real thing or not . I am not looking for graphs or opinions on the fact that global warming is a problem.
The question I have is, IF global warming IS real and IS going to be a problem, what is the upside to say it is not real? How does it benefit you as an individual to say it is not a problem and find studies that back up that position. How does that help your grandchildren?
At the very least you can say that pumping car exhaust and coal soot into the air is maybe not a great idea.
I am not trolling the politics section for fun
Me and everyone else.Fat overconsuming American thinks nobody cares because she doesn't care...
I wouldn't discount the human race entirely from caring about the planet. We might not do what's "best" for the planet every step of the way, but there are plenty of people making changes in their lives to reduce their part in the damage. The big factor is that any changes are so subtle and happen over such a long period of time that by the time we realize what's going on it'll probably be too late. Humans are all about instant gratification, and if recycling that box doesn't change the world right now then they can't see any benefit. Changes will come, but it'll take time.Nobody really cares. The only people that think they care talk a big game but never do anything about it. They all still drive their cars, buy their new electronics, eat their processed foods. In general, people are happy with the way the world is, otherwise they'd stop what they are doing. Humans are selfish by nature. It's how we survive. It's programed inside us all. Like I continue to say, this whole climate change is an ego driven farce. You have more people arguing over it then people who are trying to do anything about it. At this point it's all driven by money.
If the earth is really headed down a path of destruction, why don't we just stop what we are doing to prevent that? I'll tell you why. Because no one really cares.
So what exactly are you doing to help? Maybe it will inspire me to do my part as well.Fat overconsuming American thinks I'm not doing anything and suggests that I stop bringing attention to the truth which makes her uncomfortable.
I don't see what attacking people and generalizing all Americans has to do with fixing the planet. Over-consumption might play its role, and of course we are the most guilty party over here in the US, but we're also one of the most regulated countries when it comes to pollution.Fat overconsuming American thinks I'm not doing anything and suggests that I stop bringing attention to the truth which makes her uncomfortable.
People buy into consumerism as they complain about climate change. It's almost funny. I think it's going to take something drastic for anything to actually change.I wouldn't discount the human race entirely from caring about the planet.
