Making your own seeds

I wouldn't recommend it considering it could pass on that bad trait.
Technically it's possible if they aren't sterile.
Thats what i was thinking ,it would pass on to be hermies, my other clones didnt produce them and there from the same mom?

It could have been stressed a bit + stress induced herm are the kind you don't want to breed with.

Just pluck them off if you don't want it to drop any pollen.
It shouldn't produce anymore since the other clones aren't hermin'

Looks like it will be some good smoke...

This is my first time collecting pollen. Do most of the pollen sacks open around yhe same time? Or is it a drawn out stagger through the flower cycle? Thanks!

the ones i've grown keep on spewing pollen over time
which makes sense genetically, longer time popping pollen, the more seeds the male can father

Ok thanks. Makes perfect sense. I wasnt sure if they have a particular week where they really start to go hard. So far so good I guess :) removing the flowers helps lower humdity correct? Here's what I got from two sacks. (Pollen from Green Lotus)

tapping the flower is one way of separating pollen from the flower
some snip flowers and the pollen eventually drops out
i think tapping gets you drier pollen faster, but not sure if it's a big difference

i think that covers the basic idea, though the hard core out there may have some more tricks
storing it is the bigger trick
i've seen mixing with white flour as one method, dries it and shows what buds you've hit with a brush
i drop pollen on cheap porous paper, great drying medium, into a bottle of uncooked rice, 24 hrs room temp, 24 hrs fridge, then the freezer, got yourself a genetic bank then

Yeah I saw DJ Short say that cutting pollen with white flower can help stretch small amounts further. I probably will just stick with your method. Thanks for the tips brother.

Does pollinating one branch effect overall yield (obviously besides that branch that has been pollinated)?

beautiful. the only issue i see man.. is that CARPET.. can hold water.. and bacteria.. and mold.. and pollen.. so u could potentially have a bunch of issues .. id tarp that shit up.. just to be safe.. plus u dont wana destroy the carpet..
I agree, this was just a closet I tossed the male and female in for a few days before I killed off the male sprayed down the female and put her back in the flower room.
