The reason weed is illegal is the very reason it should be legal.

Tobacco and alcohol have no medicinal value, they generate billions in tax while at the same time killing massive chunks of the "older" population. The ones who have spent their lives destroying their bodies to pay the govt extra tax. Who needs extra old people to look after? Not the govt.

Cannabis on the other hand is TOO therapeutic. It could end up actually treating and reversing illnesses which keep people alive beyond the govt approved sell by date. Not only that but it would do it for a fraction of the cost that GWpharma will charge you. So cannabis is just lose lose lose for the govt and it's big business buddies.

Just my theory.
