GH Flora Series + 4x4 ebb and flow questions

What's up ROI guys, I have some test clones in my 96 Turbo Kloner, about to root and I plan on moving them into a flower room with some 4x4 ebb and flows' under 1k watters, also got 1500PPM Co2 hooked up. The 4x4's have their own 50gal reservoirs.. floods 15 min, drains in about 20.

Question is really if anyone else out there using the same setup and if you go by the GH Flowering Schedule ... 1/4 strength for the 1st week?, 1/2 strength for the 2nd week?, 3/4 for 3rd... etc?

Should I go ahead and experiment like that flooding like 4-5 times a day or if anyone else can give me some input with this nutrient line that would be awesome! Thanks..

I read into gen hydro flora series a good bit after buying the starter performance pack. After reading thru tons of useless info, I found an inteligent post that stated, general hydro is just that, a general hydro nutrient package that can be used to grow any of avery wide variety of plants and vevegetables. Canna has somewhat different needs, and therefore the lucas formula. I cant speak with a great amount of experience, but I am getting ready for a little side by side organic super soil, and a hempy bucket (my first hydro grow) and im going to be using flora series and lucas formula. I have used both in a soil grow and saw better results with the lucas formula than whats on the box.

They are 6'' pots filled with hydroton popcorn, and I have a 4x4 root mat underneath them. I have 36 clones rooting in my Turbo Kloner and they're being moved after 12 days directly to the 4x4 table to flower, no veg time just time to root.

Have you done a run like this before?? And if so whats as your yeild like I would like to do something similar , soon don't have to have a veg room just a small space for clones and a mother ,

Yeah first time growing this way.. was hoping to get at least a little something from my first run which is why I wanted to know if anyone used the GH floro series and if so what PPM for the first weeks and this is with RO water

Well I use gh flora series with me dwc and I just started te first just ro and 200 ppms of cal-mag then just started with there chart at 1/4 straight and then worked my way to full strength , but I eventually back off to about 1/2 strength . Just from other advice not needing such a high ppm with hydro , not sure if dwc is same feeding as ebb n flow but good luck and thanks for the repiles

Read your plants. Better to start small, and watch for burn.

Use your PPM meter.
Start at 1/8 dose and see how they do for 2-3 days.
(Remember what PPM that puts you at on your meter)
No ill effects, add another 100ppm.
Wait 3 days, add another 100ppm.

Just watch for stress. Leaf claw, burnt tips, burnt margins.

Less is WAY better than a little too much.

Peace

I ran the same setup a while back using 5 inch pots.water 5 times a day .i hand to add water in the rez every 3 days.roots ran out of the pots.my setup was 80 pots all with single colas.its a lot of work but worth it.make sure u give them water once a week to flush them out.i would do this in between rez changes.ill run pure water for 3 days then refill and add food

i plan on topping off the res with ro water as needed and dumping the whole rez every week and starting with fresh RO and nutes.. starting off with 6 flood drains on a timer i'll make changes as needed :-) thanks jojodancer10 for your input

It's a 96 site TurboKlone, I run Clonex solution for the roughly 7 gallons it takes... and also use the Clonex Spray mist. Works great.

Here they are 9 days into the flower room from clone... changed the 50 gal resi on day 7 and went with 75% strength Lucas Formula using GH.. PH @ 5.7, co2 @ 1500, temp @ 82.5F, humidity @ 47%.

have you run this setup before? i think your fill and drain times are a bit long, or for me anyway, that's why i asked.
as far as running gh flora, 1/2 the 1st week then full on after that providing they will take it. its strain dependent. lucas formula is the cheapest way to go, but some strains require some cal mag in flowering. if you do run lucas formula look into the add back formula and you have no real need to change out the res for the whole grow. the infamous breeder neville used it this way and claimed never changing a res for over a year. longest i go is 1 grow, before a change out.
glad to see i`m not the only one that uses the rapid rooter, i like the stuff.
tav i`m not disputing what your saying, but if you go with 100 per 2-3 days i can say it would be a long arduous task just by the fact of plant up take. if you think about it lets say the plant takes up 25ppm per day well when you add the next 100ppm, you`ll only have 125-150ppms after that feeding, your flower time would be done by time you get to say 1500ppms that way. i do think i understand what your trying to say, i`m just thinking there are better ways to accomplish it. the lucas at half strength is only 750ppm which most any strain in flower will take with ease, not all but most. thats just my 2bits.
