It is the prerogative of the Presidency to seem checked out. Obama does it. Bush seemed a bit lost in the word play and was not so serious. THE PRESS DOES THIS SOAP JOB.

All President lately want to seem more in touch with the common, trade school. meat and potato voters.

If you seem too Ivory Tower, that hurt you. If you seem too hands on, that hurts you, too.

This USA was set up so we can have anybody as President. There are almost no legal qualifications. There is very little he can do but talk, EO and Pardon domestically.

He can kick ass and even nuke someone in ROW. Then he just tells us,

"Today is sad day, when a US President has to make such and awesome decision..."

You seem more foolish with ever word. You cannot get caught in bribery around here.

Very serious and if they can, they will ,bring you down over almost nothing, like a deck at your home in Alaska.

Sorry, "Corporate Donations".

We dont allow them, it fucks up the political process and remove self rule.

We also practice Proportional Representation, that's more self rule than the electoral college system which citizens essentially have NO control over.

The States elect the President. We have self rule in the States. The States have the Feds as their mutual Security apparatus. The State elects 2 Senator, and Districts of People elect the Representatives. The will of the majority fo Each State is the Electorial College but they can vote the State against the majority of People. Then it goes to court.

You are so lost trying to compare your little island to this.

Theres been studies done that show the candidate who accepts and then spends the most money in a US election wins.

Thats SO self-rule...the common citizen is so fairly represented by the Corporations that line your politicians pockets.

Cool story bro...

Bullshit. It takes money to run, and Huffington threw a record amount in to be Gov of CA and he LOST. His wife came out OK> Self rule@! FUCK YEAH!

And Mr, Hufff had no skeletons. He lost because he put in his own money.

If you can't raise the money from People you cannot buy the vote with Advertising.

We see that. You don't.

There have been studies of the Irish Lack of Intelligence.

You know that, correct? But, I really think it is a case by case, thing. Some are, some are not.

I'm know some very smart Irish guys. They moved here.

Unions have been donating to Democrats for decades by forcibly removing union dues from their members.

Now, if you would like to limit all donations to political campaigns to individuals that would be something.

But it does not address the underlying problem. Government is too big and powerful and that makes it a target for lobbiests. It is a cyclical situation that is great for politicians as they gain power which = money and for the lobbiests who get paid to gain influence. Everybody wins except the citizens.

What has to happen is that the federal government has to become much less powerful and most of that stolen power be passed back down to the states and then a good bit of that passed down to the local governments.

We only allow individual donations, and only up to €250 per person.

Doer thinks Obama represents him, rather than Goldman Sacks who donated $1 mill to his original campaign...

Barak Obama says he represents the black people and the minorities and the oppressed who have been treated so unfairly in life by the rich white people. Coincidentally, during his 5+ years in office the poor and middle class have gotten poorer and the rich have gotten richer.

But he won a nobel peace prize.
Still trying to figure out why!
