The old testament is crazy and messed up, if I did half that shit I would go to hell. I'm so jealous.

Even the Quran is a little funky, rich men can have 4 wives and in paradise men will see naked women and wonder if they can have sex.

here some from the bible porn... in poetry Son 5:4 My beloved put in his hand by the hole of the door, and my bowels were moved for him.
Son 5:5 I rose up to open to my beloved; and my hands dropped with myrrh, and my fingers with sweet smelling myrrh, upon the handles of the lock
.

2 Peter 1:20-21 - Above all, you must realize that no prophecy in scripture is a matter of the prophets own interpretation or from human initiative. No, those prophets were moved by the Holy Spirit, and the spoke from God.

Whether or not the prophecies have all remained consistent with their originals is a different story. And since that applies only to prophets, we know that the five Books of Moses are a collection of Moses' own interpretations.

It's made apperent that most Jews weren't living for god, but for themselves during Isaiah's time. A lot of Moses' laws were clearly his own interpretation as I will show here.

Leviticus 22:17-20 - and The Lord said to Moses, "Give Aaron and his sons and all of the Israelites these instructions, which apply both to native Israelites and to the foreigners living among you.
"If you present a gift as a burnt offereing to The Lord, whether it is to fulfill a vow or is a voluntary offering, you will be accepted only if your offering is a male animal with no defects. It may be a bull, a ram, or a male goat. Do. It present an animal with defects, because The Lord will not accept it on your behalf."

And now we see what God has to say about this through his prophet Isaiah.

Isaiah 1:11 - "What makes you think I want all your sacrifices?"
Says The Lord.
"I am sick of your burnt offerings of rams and the fat of fattened cattle. I get no pleasure from the blood of lambs and bulls and goats."

Clearly this God of the prophets is vastly differed than the evil vengeful God portrayed through Moses' books. Seems more like the all loving infinite God that most people believe is their true God.

I could ramble for a long time so I'm stopping here.

It's important to believe in something, even if that something is non-belief. It's very easy to debunk the bible as god's word, for there are discrepancies throughout, for example: the 10 Commandments is strikingly analogous to Hammurabi's Code, written in Mesopotamia well before the Old T, and the Jesus resurrection story is almost a plagiarism of the preceding story of Egyptian sun god Amen-Ra. The stories in all bibles more or less uphold and reflect the institutions of the civilization in which they were written. Strong believers will use irrational circular logic to try and prove that the bible is the word of god (for example using citations from a bible to prove that bible's validity). This pursuit is masturbatory at best. Spirituality is personal, and belief is a choice, which by it's nature does not require validation. Searching for evidence is a secular activity. And both practices are equally flawed.

Ultimately, the word of god is something that you believe in your mind. Or it's not.

God is the UFO's people are seeing today.
In some cases this is true. Google the books of Enoch for evidence of aliens.

Originally yhwh was a plaural term. But to people living so long ago, the aliens were gods to them anyway. In some cases Noah and his descendants were called gods as in Greek mythology. But people that outlived their great great greAt grandchildren would certainly seem godly.

But Jews understood that there was a heaven of heavens and a god of the gods. Simar to Hinduism believing in many gods roaming the earth, but still having the supreme god Krishna.

Lol, circular logic as in saying the matter is real because matter seems to exist?

I believe the Bible is the written word of God John 3:16 look it up I have no proof but my faith. The Old Testament is Man trying to please God. God gives man a second chance with His Son Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior for those who choose to believe. That is only my own personal belief this is a free will God gives us to choose our own paths in life and allows us to believe what we want to believe. To me I am not to say anyone is right or wrong only I can speak for myself. One beautiful thing I am thankful for is his gift of beans.:leaf:
