I have one of those gatorade coolers that holds 5gal and I'm in the process of germinating 2 seeds (big bang auto and northern lights auto) can I use the same container for both? how much more growth will I get if i've themm in their own buckets?

Give them their own buckets. 2 strains are going to have different nutritional needs which will need to be managed and monitored. Plus they need the space.

from what ive seen most auto breeder grow each plant in separate 5 gals so itd probably be a good idea to just plant one in each. and as said, they could feed differently.

dont forget to make proper drainage for these pots, a good amount of perlite in your medium would help out too(id suggest 20-30%)

Definitely one. Never had good luck grouping.

One time I put like ten or so in one little spot on the ground, it didn't turn out so good, they all choked eachother out.

Drainage? I assumed the OP was doing dwc buckets given the sub-forum the question was posted.
whoops, my mistake.

the DIY section might be a good place to do some research, homemade hydro systems can be easy to make but ive heard of people getting equipment that caused pH fluctuation, so its probably in your best interest to read up on the stuff you need to buy.

yea heh... one time I did put 6 in a 5 gallon bucket though... for 3 weeks while my grow room was a wreck/under construction. 5 around the outside one in the middle. They were early veg and stayed stunted for the most part until I fixed my grow.
