Although you say you want high yield and don't care about potency I think you will kick yourself if you end up with weed that isn't that good, particularly if you don't like the taste or the particular kind of high.

Earlier in your thread you mentioned NL5xHaze. Not an easy one to grow from what I've read but that shit had me glued to the coffeeshop seats for days when I last had some. Spicy, hash-dominant scent with black pepper and citrus flavours. Cerebral high but pulsing body stone accompanying it, eminating from the FACE.

You might end up with something that yields a lb but tastes like lettuce when you smoke it. Nasty, and a waste of time, effort and money.

Growing your own means you can finally be a connoisseur without living in Amsterdam / [insert name of liberal place]. Don't plough your efforts into a low-grade cash crop if its just for you.

Just my 2c.

PS I'm not saying necessarily go with NL5xH, just trying to illustrate why a quality strain is more important than you think.

Pick a hq strain and veg longer if you want masses of buds.

Ok so what would be a good all rounder good high but good yield.

Ive heard big bud white widow super lemon haze cheese.
And in this topic light of jah.

There is no simple answer to "what is the best all rounder". It depends on too many variables. My opinions on the strains you listed:

Big bud - never been a fan, seems to be a good cash cropper but the examples I've smoked haven't been great.

White widow - classic frosty indica ass kicking strength strain. Not the most refined high but kicks you in the nuts. Seems to be popular with grower-dealers looking for money.

Super lemon haze - I am growing this. I cannot find a single review that has a bad word to say about it. I have high hopes for this strain. Long flowering time, stretchy sativa genes, but rewards with the best buds imaginable from what I have read. Exciting.

Cheese - strong as can be. Floors me every time. I find the cheesey aroma a novelty at first but I soon tire of it.

These are just my own personal opinions (apart from SLH which I am growing but have never smoked, only read lots about).

To research strains, look for completed grow journals (420mag site has a section full of them) of your selected strain. Read them until your eyes hurt.

Oh and I've never come across light of jah, again, do some looking about for grow journals and smoke reports.

Btw.....

I started out with a range of strains, some freebies plus some expensive blueberry feminized seeds. As it happens, the super lemon haze was / is the strongest grower of them all.

Then I started to read about this strain. Oh GOD it sounds good. I have had a LOT of encouragement from folks on here about it. I will be cloning all of my strains before flipping into flower, but I'm really hoping it's the SLH that shows to be the best in bud.

Afraid not, but you will find better info by looking for completed journals than halfway through ones anyway.

I cant find one that matches my set up always had trouble even tho its a simple setup.

Veging in a tent using 330watts of cfls
And flowering in a bigger room
1 plant to 1 light with 2 600s

Yeah he's are about that hight too topped a couple and they have seem to bushed out really nice, how are the buds looking?? Iv had jah before its prob one of the best highs iv ever had

I honestly dont know what to expect.
I currently have that under both 600s but normally I would have 2 under 2 600s and hoping for a pound of off each but time will tell I guess

Its been vegged for 6 weeks.
But im only flowering this one becoz I was going to throw it away.
So it hasn't been topped or trained

My ideal plan and setup is

2 plants in veg for 10-13 weeks (currently have 2 at 10 weeks now)

And flower under 1 600 each for 10-13 weeks and keep rotating.

So ideally my next grow with 2 plants should get alot more than this one
Seeing it will have alot more veg time and top and training.

So in a way this one is an experiment.

Wow they have grown really well for only 6 weeks and no training, so you generally grow one plant per light? Iv got 2 lights 1200w globes but on dimmable ballasts running 400w each globe and I have 5 plants spaced out under the 2 lights do you think I would have better results with yield by just having 2 plants 1 under each light? I was also thinking about turning ballasts up to 600w output each worried it might affect the girls negatively tho being raised on 400w or would it be wiser to wait until I change to hps globes and to 12/12 for flowering to up output?

More watts more bud. I dont know how true this is but im going off my results.

Ive tried from 2 plants to 9 and all results have been esactly the same nearly to the gram all using the same setup.

Thats why I only do 2 less maintenance and still get the same amount of bud.

If I was in your shoes I would flower 2 plants under full 1000- 1200 each light as long as you room temp can be controlled.
The more watts the more bud.

But if u do have heat issues try 1000 on each or mayb 800.

Just play around and use most amount of watts untill temo cant be controlled.

I see what you are saying dude ill up the output for flowering won't have a problem with heat got good input/output fans only growing in a soil stone mix atm need to set up a decent ebb n flow system again but next grow I think ill be doing what your doing just 1 plant per light go for bigger yields on single plants, cheers heaps for all your time a advice much appriciated keep me updated on ur jah buds man they r looking mean!
