Hello, all i have 2 plants in COCO + PERLITE (50/50) mix and one plant in organic garden soil.

now the plant in the organic soil is like 3x bigger than the other 2 in coco + perlite i want to ask you if i should start all seedlings in normal soil only when they get's bigger repot them in coco + perlite.

im a bit dissapointed of coco + perlite since all almost all growers suggest this.

What ppm are you feeding the coco perlite mixture?

You do realise it pretty much needs feeding instantly.

Ideally you should be using some coco specific nutrients with elevated levels of Ca and Mg and reduced levels of K.

Coco produces its own K over time.

I hope you aren't treating the coco plants like you are the soil plants.

Let me guess, you are only using straight water with the soil plant and assumed you'd be doing the same with coco.

I NEVER GIVE MY COCO GROWN PLANTS PLAIN WATER.

You'll realistically need something specific for coco growing otherwise you'll need to elevate the levels of Ca and Mg.

For now start at 1/4 the recommended feeding.

Feed every time you water and make sure you get 20% of what goes in out of the bottom of the pot.

Coco is basically a hydroponic growing medium.

You might be best to search about growing in coco.

It is similar to soil. But DEFINATELY not the same as soil.

ok, thank you for info, i will need to go to the shop again and ask what i need so it contains Ca & Mg because in the current feeding product i have is only nitrogen and some other but it has not Mg & Ca :( ok so that's why my plants look so small and weak damn ... im a new grower never growed before ...

I'm not sure if the tablets are in a form that can be uptaken by the plant.

I use coco, I use CANNA COCO nutrients. But I also use mono calcium and mono magnesium.

I have to elevate the levels of Ca and Mg in my water from time to time as I have pretty soft water.
