ROOTS

It depends on a lot of factors - but typically 7-14 days.

I have cloned in rockwool, soil, coco, and aeorponic cloners. All produced results. The cloner is the fastest and yields to most significant roots in my experience. However I have had almost 100% success rate no matter the method. Rockwool definitely works great and I still transplant my clones from my cloner into rock wool plugs/blocks. I usually have them in the cloner for 3 weeks, in blocks for 3 weeks and then into the container/media they will live the rest of their lives in. I have had strains and plants that certainly cloned faster and more vigorously than others - but haven't had any that proved all that difficult.

Do you have clones that don't seem to be rooting? If so, how long has it been since they were cut from the mother?

Well my first time cloning and it's been about 3to4 days.

Oh dude...you are way good. Give them 2 weeks or so before you start wondering. Are you using rock wool and a humidity dome and whatnot? Or are you using a different method?

Yes both.... but can it work outside?

Well, it can depending on where you live. I wouldn't suggest it because you really need agh 18/6 light schedule and controlled temps. For sure you are probably going to need a heating mat under your tray if you temps fall below 65 or so at night. I would put them in a closet somewhere with a cfl over them. They don't need a ton of light, but you need to have a somewhat controlled environment regarding heat, humidity and light.

I clone under a 100w LED (consumes about 45-50w when in veg mode) and man the clones love it. They develop serious roots and early growth under it. But you can use one or two very inexpensive CFL bulbs or a small 2' T5 setup (about $75 most places).

Here is my cloning space. No real cloning going on in there currently, just a few seedlings and a couple of Sage n Sour clones (one in a coco cup and one in a rock wool block).

They start in a few days and are ready to pot up in about ten to fourteen days. I use an aerocloner. Don't have much patience for soil.

It doesn't have to be major. I use a 60-100w 6500k if I use a CFL. might need two depending on how many clones you're covering. But make sure you grab something in the 5000-6500k range.
