sugar in hydroponics

hello,
i read that when you add sugar to a MJ plant the sugar interacts with bacteria in the grow medium. And that bacteria is sucked up by the plant and thats what makes all the crystals. For Aeroponics/hydroponics since there is no soil full of bacteria for the sugar to interact with. Have they made some bacteria you can add to your res. that would be the equivilant of adding sugar to soil?

I use aquashield and pond-zyme... they are called beneficial microbes or bennies. some people bubble them in a tea and feed them unsulphured black strapped molasses, but dont use molasses or any sugar in the res or you will get a slime bloom.

check out the heisenberg tea thread in the dwc section.

One product that you can use in hydro is GenHydro FloraNectar (http://generalhydroponics.com/site/index.php/products/supplements/floranectar/) I thought it wouldn't do anything for bacteria in the rez but only helps with taste. However GenHydro claims differently,

• Influences sweetness and aromas in fruits and flowers
• Helps ensure optimal plant metabolic rates
• Adds plant energy and aids beneficial microorganisms

If trichome production is what you're after I would recommend Bloombastic. It's expensive but super concentrated. Here is some pictures of a grow that I am finishing up right now using Bloombastic. The trichome production was immense and the best I have had out of all my past grows. Here is a couple pics of the plant I used Bloombastic on...
