Look UB I'm not trying to attack you or put you out, because I believe your intentions when it comes to race are actually good at the core, but from what I've seen you are missing a real world perspective on the matter. If racism is something you truly care about then I encourage you to take a minute and consider what I'm about to say...
Most of my friends in life have been people of a darker skin color...native American, African American, etc...and the thing is..they have almost all been proud. They embrace their race and don't let anyone make them feel inferior over skin color. When someone such as yourself looks at them and assumes they deserve special treatment and assume they've been oppressed their whole life because you see Brown skin...whether you are trying to sympathize or not, have good intentions or not...that is another form of racism. It is keeping race a relevant issue. More often than not race sympathizers turn non racial issues into racial issues, even if it is unintentional. Hope that makes sense n u can see that this is just as much of a problem as racism in the traditional sense.
