First grow. Indoors. When to flip?

This is my first grow indoors under t5 and cfl lights. I am confused about what my plants should look like to determine when to flip. I am also confused about trimming off branches or leaves. I did a search on rollitup for "canopy" and found one thread where people were disagreeing (lol) so it wasn't too helpful. I need pictures of what to do I think.

If you are using T5's & CFL's to flower I would flip it now, it is gonna get a lot bigger when you do, as for training it is totally up to you. but since it is your first grow I would concentrate on just getting to the end and start training on your 2nd grow

Id do some low stress training open the plant up so those side branches get more light get some string or somthing and tie those side branches to the outside of your pot tie them as low as u can get em without stressin ur plant maybe top ur plants its your first grow enjoy

you can start bending even as little a the 4th node or so just pull down the large leaf down and can put tape on the leaf to the pot just wait it start branching out ect
