Who would you vote for?

With Trudeau giving some sort of signals that they would move to a more reasonable MMJ policy (perhaps legalization), on that platform alone they would now get my vote. (Mind you I've been a conservative most of my adult life).

What about you? I'm also looking at how effective this legalization platform would be for Trudeau to pursue 100% (or if in some alternate reality the conservatives pushed for 100% legalization). I mean if legalization was a key policy either party campaigned on, would this sway you to vote?

My vote this time around will be 100% based on marijuana/legalization issues. Harper and the conservatives have set us back 10-15 years in terms of MJ policy/penalties, and the Liberals are the only realistic option to push them out and win the majority government necessary to push through major marijuana reforms and full-out legalization. I like that the Liberals have already put a lot of thought and study into legalization and it isn't just a campaign promise without any substance behind it.

I have been an NDP supporter in the past, but will be voting Liberal this time around based on all of this and will be encouraging everyone else that feels strongly about MJ reform to do so as well.

Libertarian Party for me. Some might consider this a wasted vote, but it has to start somewhere, sometime. If it looks close in my riding I would vote Liberal ( for the first time )

imo voting should be 18+ mandatory, then we would not have crap shoot voting system.
I think if jt gets in it could be worse than harper cause he only wants in and will use mj as a way. to me that's bs and then he will fuck us another way. harper is out, ndp- well jacks gone (rip) and jt is what we have left so we will see......

EDIT: Oh shit this is Canada. haha my bad. Well I'd vote for a pro-mj candidate all day, regardless of anything else. Politicians don't care about the people, but winning the fight for MJ would be worth my vote n the States - that's for damn sure.

I was born in Canada and could go and register as a Landed Citizen anytime. Harper's gov't did not make me want to. Thorpe's might.

I can't vote but it probably wouldn't be JT or Harper. JT needs way more experience in keeping certain words from coming out so the Cons don't use them in attack ads and Harper no fucking way. JT Might be bad in the international scene. Since JT is riding his dads magic carpet to get notices I kind of feel like he'll be another corporate monkey once he gets in.

Best thing to do is don't vote for the party vote for the candidate but until politicians are held accountable for their actions nothing will change. Remember these people work for US and their actions govern the whole country there for they should be more susceptible to criminal actions against them because of the power they hold than any Canadian.

I'll be voting team Red the next elxn. I dig JT's vibe, and think he best represents the younger (ie: non baby-fuckup boomer) generation, and team Red seems to have a few good brains in it, to lead our country out of these dark Harpocrisy times.

I give him credit for not tripping up too seriously so far under the constant media attention.
Impressed so far. The key is the quality of his political advisers, and his ability to listen to them.
