Try pond-zyme. You're welcome.
So chemical based nutes will work when using teas? Again newb here lol. Im not sure where I got that from. One of the thousands of post here probably. Are any nutes even required when running teas? Yes I know! Read more lol. Shutting it down real soon I hope for the summer so I'll do some research before the cold weather sets in.organic nutes? whered u hear that?
I use h2o2 but it is hard to find here and really pricey. Was kinda looking for alternatives. The enzyme product I just tried seemed to work great but could have been a fluke. The roots have stayed white longer and looked better. It did seem to reduce PH though and actually stopped using down on refills. Grow is just about finished (ready or not at over 100 days flower lol) so I will do more testing in the fall.No pondzyme or bleach needed. H2o2 at 15ml/gal will do the trick. It will evaporate out your res in 30 minutes to an hour, so u can re apply every hour or two for a few applications.
After you have done your drenches, flush with a full bucket of plain water for another hour and drain it just to make sure you get any remaining perox out, as well as any loose slime that has been nuked in the process.
After that, eliminate the light leak amd or high water temps to prevent it from coming back.
Peroxide kills all organic material, so adding it to your nutrient solution renders it absent of whatever organic compounds it may have.
Enzymes are still cool cause they have a bunch of other benifits. I run a bacteria/sugar tea with humus and a mychoryzae drench as well as hygrozyme @ 5ml/ gal.
My plants niw run on a ec of 1.2-1.4 opposed to 1.6-1.9. A lot of time the benificial stuff is cheaper than nutriwnt lines suppliments so its a win win
Most likely not a fluke. That zyme is devouring that slime and turning it into nutes for your plants!!!!!!!!!!! keep using it!!!!I use h2o2 but it is hard to find here and really pricey. Preciate It man. Its my first grow and Ithought I had everything Boy was I doing but right between the rock wool it's like Brownish color so it'scant tell, i cant see ur roots. LOOOOOL but. ur plant loooks good!!
bury it deeper in the hydroton when it gets bigger and/or cover the rockwool cube with something light proof.
start adding something for slime control in your nute mix so you don't run into problems later... I like aquashield and pond-zyme with tap water conditioner.
do i have rootrot? The tea WILL work better than anything else you try.
If it's really root slime, enzyme products and h202 will make it worse.
Brewing tea is easy as shit.
You can use all the magic bottles of this and that, but you'll never get roots like you get running tea with any of those.
The benefits of running tea are countless.
I've used Tea to kill root slime a few times and it DOES work. Hell, it works against pretty much all root issues.
I just started running it in my rez start to finish as a preventative.
Root growth, and health is ridiculous.
The plants are more resistant to heat, light, drought, underfeeding.
It's really the shit.
I run a chiller, and really have no worries about root issues anymore, but I still use it for all the other added benefits.
Explosive root growth, faster plant growth, better nutrient uptake, larger plants, healthier plants, higher yield.
And, I NEVER have to worry about root issues. That's a hell of an insurance policy.
What's that worth to ya in the form of cash?
Tea costs hardly anything.
I use nothing but-
1 scoop Plant Success Soluble
1 ounce Molasses
1 Small handfull of worm castings, or cheap bag compost depending on which I happen to have on hand.
I throw all that shit into a 5 gallon bucket and fill it with 4 gallons of water.
Stir until ALL the molasses is disolved.
Add a bubble stone, and leave it for 36-48 hours.
I run 55gal. rez so I just dump the whole 4 gallons in twice a week.
Totally overkill, but the plants love it.
That's pretty damn easy.
Just throwing in my .02.
Yea I squished I didn't know no betteras far as my root I have canazym I thinkthink and I gave it a cap full now I think I have PM could this be the cause of them stem? Are my babies hopeless???? :/you def have some brown mushy shit on your rw cube there. It looks like the cube might have been squeezed also... be careful to not squeeze it or it will ruin the water draining properties.
Do I buy just regular tea?The tea WILL work better than anything else you try.
