Ok,
did another experiment and this one is actually interesting.

two different cycles, Both hydro in rockwoll using same nutrients House and Garden....
BUT....

On the first cycle was what the "manufacture dose"

On the second cycle it was 1/4 for the first four weeks and
1/2 for the remainder of cycle.

So, what happened?
I got tighter, bigger, healthier, tastier, smokier (not a word) BUDS on the

2nd cycle....... No joke...
So, has anyone else done this? I NEVER gave the second cycle full strength nutes, NOW,
Lets see which picture is Which..

I guess you grew up with a mom that like to feed you.

Even though you were satisfied
your mom kept making you eat

She tried to feed you
even when you did not need to eat.

That's what moms want to do.

You want to grow like a mother, or a farmer?

You did not say what kind of nutes you are planning on cramming down their throats ?

I would think you have proven to yourself,
what experienced growers have been telling you,
and you still can't believe it.

Plants don't get fat like kids,
but they will get sick and die,
just like overfed people.

Most see plants get sick and think, "deficiency",
when in reality, the real problem is "excess".

They were House and Garden. that makes alot of sense Earl and Dr. Von....
Preciate any more knowledge you have on the subject. I fed them one fourth to one half the Suggested nutes from the H & G feedsheet. also added carbo load and shooting poweder the last 2 weeks of flower. Thanks again and keep it coming .
I also came into a technique called "Resistance" where you train your babies to grow mosterous stems by twisting and "snapping" the upper and lower "necks" of the stems to promote more nutes to consindtrate on repair and in turn bigger stems, roots, buds ect.. ANYONE DONE THIS/??

Yes.

You understand the term nute load?

in other words.
if the mfg calls for 1000ppm
then that would be a 100% nute load,
and running 500ppm would be a 50% nute load.

Here is a chart that might help.

............................as a percentage of nute load...................

You can see that 50% is very adequate, up to 75%.
This chart assumes you are using RO.

Some strains respond very positively to lesser nute loads,
especially notable are the White strains.

I have used supercropping to even out the tops of canopies so that my lights didn't have to be raised for the whole crop-it also spreads the top canopy of the plant you are training as well producing the effect of more than one main cola off the same plant but from my experience the plant pulls the same amount of energy so that the bud weight come out to be close to the same weather your running one main cola of a plant or more.

Low Stress Training

"Training" plants with twist-ties is a great way to get them to bush out a bit.

Just take any type of plastic or paper twist tie
and wrap it around the top of the plant,
then pull it over until the top is bent over 90-180 degrees,
attach the twist tie to the main stem lower on the plant.

Do this for one week,
and then release the plant from it's bond.

The plant can be trained in this fashion
to take less vertical space
and to grow bushier filling the grow space,
and forcing lower limbs to grow upward,
to join the top of the canopy.

This technique takes advantage of the fact
that if the top is pulled over,
it creates a hormonal condition in the plant
that makes it bush out at all lower internode.

a real noob question is that similar to topping the plant or no?

give full strength if they burn step it down if they dont burn use more. Your plant WILL tell you exactly what it needs! Just keep experimenting

I run nutes at 500ppm in my stinkbud type unit and get the best results. Used to go 1000-1400 with my gh nutes. cut back and ppm's stay nice and level with ph fluxations. Bigger and better buds.
