if this is your first grow, i say forget all about what you yield and just worry about growing, happy, healthy plants that make it to harvest..
once you get a few successful grows under your belt, then you can start to learn a few tricks and tips to up your yields..

There is a hell of a lot more that light wattage when growing regarding your harvest. Do a lot more reading about growing and what you want to achieve. If all you are going to do is ask questions about what others achieve , you will have learned nothing. Decide what you want and learn how to get there.

I should add more info sorry.
This is my 4th grow first in my new setup.
Reason for new setup is becoz ive made the room optimal size for the lights I have good air flow.
Normally my plants are healthy except this time I had a bit of calmag def but thats fixed now.
Ive vegged for 6 weeks ans scrog 1 plant under 1200watt. Normally I do 2 plants.

My old setup grows I was getting about 0.4 gpw. But to add I never had intake or outtake fans room was way to big I was getting about 25 watt per sqft.

So with all that im aiming for a figure just wanting a realisitc figure

Yes if your plants are healthy and getting the nutrients they need you should be aiming for .70 - 1gram a watt...

Something doesn't seem right......... I suppose I can't really tell how big that plants is, but I would expect another 11 plants that size when using 1200w of power.

What sort of light are you using?

I got to disagree with budfarmer on this one nothing increases yeild like light you should double the yield with 1200 watts over 600 watts...

I agree with auswolf I didn't see the photo before... It looks very small was it a clone you put into flower straight away with no veg... Under 1200 watts, no matter if running 1 or 4 plants (I would run 4 in a scrog dwc setup) I would expect to pull no less than 850grams at absolute minium...That would be vegging for 1-1.5 months depending on strain and then flowering...

If he droped down to a 600watt his yield would suffer unless he made a smaller space. why use 1200watts in a large space, if he is only ever going to grow 2 at a time?

Yes this is true however I would prefer a 1200 watt light regardless of how many plants I grew or space, it would still provide better light intensity resulting in bigger yeilds and denser buds. it would also allow me to veg a plant/plants using topping, lst, scrog ect to fill entire grow space at which time I could switch into flower and have a much bigger yeild than a 600 watt could achieve, granted some veg time would be added...
However 2 600's would be a lot better than one 1200 but that's a another story...

No, 3 400's. ;)

I should of mentioned the 1200 watt is made up by 2 600s.
This plant is untrained only coz it was ment to go in the bin.
My proper grow will start once my 2 plants been in veg with top lst go into flower.
The single one in flower was vegged for 6 weeks under cfls thats why its a small plant

Ok that makes more sense then. I suggest getting a couple of metal halide conversion globes for your hps lights for veg if you haven't already...

If you really want to crank up the yeild do some research into a scrog set-up... I'm normally pretty sceptical of new methods until they are proven but scrog definitely increased my yeild of the same amount of light very quickly... This is assuming you have nutrients, ph ect dialled in...

My next one will be scrog ive got my nets and all. Im only doing 2 plants coz of the laws here so 1 plant under 1 600.
With lots of top and lst and into scrog.

With veg my tent is small thats why im using cfls to keep the plant small but lots of training. But they will veg for 10 weeks
