Well to be fair, one could label (from a grow perspective, but shit, just go over to the circle jerk section and you will see plenty reports of nanners) my opinion moot as I've not grown any and wont. I've smoked plenty of TGA, and really haven't been Impressed, smells and tastes don't medicate me

Sugar Punch is a perfect scrog plant.

https://www.opengrow.com/topic/48614-sugar-punch/

Check that out for a reference. You can check out the reports I've done on it too. I didn't have any single cola dominant phenotypes. Sweet Skunk is naturally a single cola dominant plant, they are all pretty similar. It should respond fine to topping though, I topped it o utdoors and it became a real beast.
Looks good. Soon I'll be up to my eyeballs in beans...lol...Honestly, I have to save like 3k for a vegas vacation, so I'm gonna TRY to squeak in an order here and there when I can, and see how these Bodhi beans treat me.

if my calculations are correct, $85 a pack of Bodhi's gear, using the promo code will be $68, not bad.

Well, now I'm torn...

I'm gonna order another Bodhi pack this promo...I THINK I've gotten it narrowed down to the following...

Sunshine Daydream
Satsuma
Goji OG
Tranquil Elephantizer

Which of these strains do I NEED to order tomorrow, and which can wait till the July Promo??

24 hours to go...Think it's down to the Goji and the SSDD.....Might just load my prepaid card with another 60 bucks and get 'em both...Wouldn't mind the extra packs of Synergy...

It's strong opinions like this, and advice from those like OGE, that have kept any TGA from growing in my garden. If it was up to the taste of the bud that he gave me alone, I would be sold...
I have ran several grows of TGA: Chernobyl, Ripped Bubba, Timewreck, Jilly Bean, Dairy Queen, Querkle, Cheese Quake, and Space Bomb; the first four several runs each.Only Space Bomb was a disappointment because of puny yields, not quality of smoke.

Never a hermie, always good vigor, and always good potency [ Querkle the least potent, but still B]. I have two Ace of Spades clones @ 4 weeks veg that are gorgeous; their mom's will be chopped in a couple of days and both amazingly have the 'black cherry' scent and usual TGA heavy trichs.

TY will likely go nuts - I know how much he loves SSDD - but the 4 week jars of SSDD I had were almost identical in every way to Ripped Bubba I ran several times. RB's took 60 days, the SSDD 74.. Both are fine smoke, but I kept the RB jars, and passed the SSDD along to amigos. [ I have two other SSDD about 3 weeks away]. The ironic thing to me, is RB is my least favorite TGA strain for taste, which is a factor for me, but not if it sacrifices potency. It has that earthy 'bubba' taste w/ just hints of cherry on the exhale; a good body hit like SSDD, but much more head buzz, likely from the JTR.

Disclaimers: I am not a fan of sub or jill [i'm not a hater either], I've watched one episode of weednerd, and I've no interest in promoting any bean sellers. It's just that everytime TGA gets mentioned, the automatic 'hermies and low potency' reports immediately get posted, often by people who have never ran any, and that's never been my experience. I've ran several, and will continue to keep some TGA in every grow,

Lol gone crazy! Ah ya know I respect you Amos and your opinions/experience. I've just experienced enough TGA to know it doesn't belong in my garden. I'd make an exception if I smoked something that I just had to have and knew it wasn't a pain in the ass during growing. The thing is, and I've said it before TGA has good flavors from his male. I'm simply not a flavor smell chaser. I don't want to have to smoke bowl after bowl after bowl when something else gets me medicated to the right spot. I don't pimp breeders either, but I do have favorites for ones that haven't given me problems. Plus I've mentioned problems with other breeders or things I've liked. I'm sure I'd enjoy what you are rocking if we had a smoke session.

Respect back atcha, TY, as you know.

At some point, would you list the strains you sampled? The continued portrayal of 'bowl after bowl after bowl' to get medicated has never been my experience out of the several I've run.

I'm aware of the rep of Plushberry and Agent Orange as mild, which is why I've never ran them.

querkle was one of them and about two weeks ago last game of thrones, I smoked some space bomb I think was the name. Shit tasted good but held no candle to what I busted out (blueberry hill). ETA my friends caregiver only grows TGA so that's all he ever has. I've seen his gear and it's not like he's a bad grower it's just the shit is weak sauce

Then I would 'high'ly suggest you sample the JTR and Bloodwreck lines. Most everyone w/ experience knows that's where the potency is w/ TGA.

ETA - just saw this new post on JTR: https://www.rollitup.org/t/looking-for-the-all-rounder-strain-please-read-on.834882/#post-10637071

If you had to smoke bowl after bowl after bowl im feeling like it's more likely a grower problem than a breeder problem... Quality grown herb will do the trick no matter who it's from a vast majority of the time.. it's not like he's actively breeding out potency..i ran agent o and although i wasn't highly impressed it was quality stuff.. Now since we are on the subject i have one giant complaint about tga WTF HAS BEEN GOING ON WITH THEIR PRICES!!! each new round of beans adds 20 to 40 bucks from the last round!

shoot if the taste is there ill be gladly to smoke bowl after bowl..lol....
Well I don't smoke for tastes and smells, granted the shit does smell and taste great. Bag appeal is good, but less than anything in my rotation. Something could taste like shit or even sticks and if it got the job done, I'd pick it over others. Doesn't mean I don't love me some good tasting and smelling strains, but with my tolerance I could have smoked a damn 8th and it wouldn't have gotten me where other strains could for less. I've heard good things about JTR but why not go with Jack Herer over it? (Price i suppose?)
