Supchaka! nice to have you stop in!
Just to throw out my unwanted advice
I'd try and center the 600 filament more over the center of the plants than the tube itself. You can also build a type of standoff to put the bulb further into the tube. Last and not least would be to get a new/used hood. I found the spread is much better with a regular hood. Looks all good though!
What do you mean a standoff? Like a chunk of 2x4 between the socket and the bracket holding the socket?
I'd like to center the filament but with 6 inch ducting on either side and a 14" inch tube, my closet is only 24" wide... so you can see my conundrum, the ducting is already squeezed in a bit too tight, and I have a "left or right" choice when it comes to bulb placement. That's why I wanted to add in a 2nd bulb, but another 600 is too long and too hot, and I just upgraded from a 400... Also with a regular hood, because I'm in an enclosed closet I wouldn't be able to retain my certain "stealth" that's currently present. I actually ordered the 600 with the regular gull wing hood and popped it in there, in an hour and a half temps got to 98 at canopy level. I know last time when it was full of foliage the temp dropped about 5 degrees versus being empty, but that's not enough; so the wing got modified and went to the mini fridge!
Thanks for the words of wisdom! Stick around, I've seen what you do, and would love to have your two cents!
careful man, sometimes those deficiencies can actually be burn or lockout of some kind. but your starter mix does look solid, at first a little hot but they're really acquiring the taste now. looking good!
yeah I thought it was burn but a little fish fert (Alaska brand I think) at 1/4 strength perked 'em right back to green. That's one of my big concerns trying to scrog 6 plants though, what if I got problems with one and it needs to be flushed? I guess I cross that bridge when I get there, I already have some ideas though. The mix was a bit hot, and I suppose that's my fault, I left them completely unattended for about 2 weeks right after transplanting from party cups to 5 gallon buckets. The vacation was worth it though!
