I certainly agree that the lipids impede solidification, although I have never been able to make a shatter from decarbed no matter how long it dried.
Is that reclaim "shatter" Twitch? Did it come from the vape or dab bong?

it came out of my rig, i clean it with everclear then i set it in the freezer and then filter
i have about 8 to 10 grams in the freezer now i am going to wait till i move before i filter it

this is my latest batch, see all the bull shit in the bottom....
so this stuff has been:
blasted off the plant
heated up on the nail
filtered through water
then winterized in everclear for a good long while

good stuff lol

I have an extreme q and i love it. I drip the oil out and drink it lol. I also started adding some keif into the elbow and when i clean it its a very oily hash ball.

after sitting out for almost a year it is now a pull n snap shatter

ever since I switched to a Buchner my reclaim has came out pretty nice
mostly pull n snap as well, I make caramels with mine.

Uno year later...bho has been sitting at room temp- 77°, not sealed, sterile environment, no light..

At +170°f
I have the hardest shatter ive ever seen...it is fully decarbed

Not pliable or taffy till ~240

Runny, almost watery at ~300 then quickly starts to smoke ever so slightly... quite nutty and acrid, smells of acrolein largely, typical of bho. The nutty phenolic smell obviously vaporized thc mostly


Anyway.... just sharing

I have met Rick Simpson (RSO) in person. He said the ULTIMATE RSO would in fact be the residue from a vaporizer, because it's so "pure". You could INGEST (eat) this vape residue for maximum medical benefit.

OR since it's so pure I wouldn't bother vaping it, but would smoke all of it at high temp. I don't own a pen, but I THINK that some are "vape" temps, and some are high temp that burn everything which I THINK is same as you would want for "dabs". Since I don't own a pen, I would likely go old school and hot-knife it, to get it all!

Your post makes me very excited, as I have an Extreme Q on order!

I can only imagine how many people who could salvage this as a great reclaim method. Makes me want to do this over a course of life and make manageable RSO based on reclaim mixed with the plant material.
Not going in depth here but does putting reclaim in alcohol make the high less psychoactive by any chance, being decarb-ed that is?
