I've accumulated some of their seeds from various promos over the past couple years, and wondering if anyone has run the following strains, or knows if any of these are worth the time.....

- Kandy Kush
- OG Kush #18
- OG Kush
- Stacked Kush (DNA)

Anyone?

I ran their Kandy Kush for a couple years. It's a hard hitter with a musky, earthy kushy taste. Can feel the trainwreck in the buzz for sure. My pheno was a high producer very crystaly. One of the bigger yeilding kush crosses I've ran. I lost the strain but I would run it in my garden again for sure.

I've run a couple DNA Strains not those ones specifically but I wouldn't hesitate to run more.

The OG Grape Krypt is almost too racy for me. I imagine some folks would love it.

Yeah, I've got Hashplant Haze, Stacked Kush, and LA Woman from DNA.

Basically the same company as RP, right?

From what I have heard yes. I think there's RP Colorado though? they might be working with different stock as I have heard of their strains with the same parentage having different names. Don't know what's up there but yeah..... who knows :) These damn seed companies :)

I've ran 3 beans of each OGK and OG18. I was green behind the ears, and using products I know longer use, but if I were to run them now, I'd probably avoid some mistakes I may have made in my grow. Both are very similar so I'll generalize a bit. The plants were pretty similar in height and lanky, unsupported structure as to be expected with kush (someone can correct me if I'm wrong, I've never ran cuts, but have seen em and smoked em). Yields were low on all of them, they were very sensitive and a tad finicky. The stretch was pretty moderate at about 1.8-2.5 times flowing height. The OGK had an aroma of lemon juice, with little fuel. Now OG18 yielded a tad better (I say that with hesitation as it is NOT a good yielded), had more of sharp lemon juice oder with a bit of a kerosene aroma on the back end. All yielded between 9 and 10.5 weeks. Overall, both will get you very high and stoned. It has that mental shift followed by a heavy body stone. I didn't find it to be long lasting in effects but it was like being kicked by a mule. To be honest, it wasn't bad. So the good, all pheno expression were similar in growth, size, and was a hard hitting high/ stone. The bad: no vigor, slow grower, very picky so be careful not to over feed them as they will punish you with lockouts, burning and possible male parts (only one did this). The ugly: really shitty yield, not a long lasting high, did I mention she is fucking finicky. I did prefer the 18 from just the OGK

Sorry for the wall of text, enter doesn't seem to work well with mobile. Also I did like the gear, as I grew Kosher (same issues, enjoyed it the most), and HGK (did not get a really good plant, may have just been a bad batch). I was really interested in OG when I first started, but I simply kinda bummed growing them when I tried other companies with seemingly better and vigorous gear. So I'm not slaggin' RP off I'd actually like to try their Pakistan x 18 or whatever

If the OG18 was from the promo at Tude few years ago thats a good one, skunky and potent. If you bought a pack of OG18 in last year or so there junk in my opinion, all duds in my pack. I also ran there OG from the promo and it was pretty decent, lemony sorta SFVish.

Yes, these are promo beans from a couple years ago that have just been sitting in the vault. Thinking of tossing a few of these freebies in to the mix every once in a while.

Company yes, and no, but more importantly, different breeders. RP is a collective of breeders from the west coast, DNA sort of gives them store space (undoubtedly trading genetics as a bonus). "Reserva Privada Colorado" is an entirely different separate entity and has nothing to do with DNA or the Reserva Privada strains they sell.

Haven't grown the strains you mentioned, grown Skywalker Kush, Chocolate Fondue, and Cannalope Haze. All great.

I'm not much of a Kush fan frankly, only reason I've grown it is because my wife wanted something else than the haze hybrids I like to smoke. Great plant to grow (dark green with super frosty buds) but I don't really have an opinion about the taste. I liked it better than kandy kush but not better than regular og.

Yeah, very curious what those Reserva Privada Colorado are doing. They use mainly DNA/RP genetics in their breeding as well as piggybacking on their name. If they truly have no affiliation with DNA/RP (which is their claim) then that seems kind of shameless to me. However, I don't want to sling shade on things I don't know anything about, if they have DNA/RP's blessing to use their name and genetics, power to them.

I've run a Kandy Kush freebie from RP, it was pretty awesome, but had a few too many of the negative traits of the og and wreck for me to keep. I'm absolutely sure running more than 1 bean would result in a good keeper. It was very tasty and potent, just very little stem strength and huge internodal spacing on the girl I got. I gots enough girls like that. I have also run very excellent cuts of OG #18, Kosher, and Sour Kush (their headband), although I did not personally run them from seed, they were top notch.

I've run plenty of cuts and seed runs from DNA, and they've all been good-extremely good. I think they are a reliable company, and their prices get more reasonable as the other breeders with comparable quality genetics raise theirs.
