What would you do if a young guy was bashing your head into the sidewalk after sucker punching you and breaking your nose?

there is no evidence that any of that happened.

sidewalk-head-bashing leaves something more serious than a 1 cm laceration. it leaves bruising and swelling. the person doesn't walk fine 20 minutes later and go to work the next day.

and there is no evidence about who assaulted who.

given that martin was running away and zimmerman was out there with two flashlights and a gun, trying to stop "those assholes who always get away", it's only likely that zimmy tried to attack and grab martin.
