First time growing, and my little one is yellow. I read the post about plant deficiencies and I think it needs nitrogen. I have used coffee grounds on my other plants (flowers, veggies, etc.) and it works great. I know coffee grounds is a good source of nitrogen with little acid. As long as I keep the soil at the right ph, I am assuming this would take care of the problem? Anyone every try it? I'm trying to keep away from chems, with all my plants if I can help it. Just thought I would ask. Thanks :)

Never heard coffee grounds are a source of nitrogen before. I know they're acidic and that worms love 'em.
Lot's of folks use epsom salts (TB per Gallon) for yellowing. I add 1/4 Tsp to almost all my waterings.

My dad swears by coffee grounds on his roses. Seems to work pretty well for him, however I already had a package of Peters 20-20-20 so I just use that. If I didnt... i'd try coffee.

I used already brewed coffee grounds, the nit. content was a little lower. I just sprinkled a pinch around the base of the plant and wished it luck, lol
