corporations are not people..corporations are formed in order to protect the owners..corporations don't "think" and cannot have opinion..their owners have the opinion.

What's the issue? Why the protest?

Corporations don't breathe and they don't exist in any real sense. They are nothing more or less than a legal construct for the sole purpose of the enrichment of their owners. Giving such an entity political power over real living breathing human beings is simply inimical to political freedom or even life itself- since life isn't as profitable as the things it needs.

Anyone who espouses corporate personhood is basically saying the Nazis had it right, that certain classes of people are indeed inferior because they don't control enough assets to protect themselves. In other words, that being poor is an excuse for second class, even subhuman treatment.

Rich, greedy and power hungry 'Masters of the Universe' had best pay attention, as it is their assets that will be stripped first in a revolution- and this country has shown that it CAN have a revolution without getting guns or the military involved.

I expect a very narrow, and almost incomprehensible ruling.

But, I really reject your view on Corporations. If you knew what it was and how much oversight there is, you might temper you viewpoint.

And I also reject marriage, it is very much like a corporation. It seems OK when it is young and new and fun, but then the paperwork catches up and the Board of Directors can't stand each other.

UNION BUSTER ALERT

SCOTUS rules no one can be forced to pay Dues.

Seem so obvious. Fuck Yeah!

Hobby Lobby - we will see.

Obama has not got any of his major challenges thru, but for the ACA.

SCOTUS oh for gosh darn it, yes!

I hold a degree in the Science of Business Administration, I've founded several small businesses (admittedly none have grown into corporations just yet), worked in startups in many industries and for Fortune 50 conglomerates like Halliburton.

I reject YOUR view of corporations as shortsighted and potentially self serving- which is the very point I was making above, that corporations as they exist today and their apologists are destructive to democracy, liberty, and even life itself.

My Tech Company has an on-site IRS staff. The major companies are in a constant audit. Every quarter it is a fight to decide, before hand, what will be the Vig.

A corporation is not a person, it is set up to protect shareholders from the mob.

I have been a corporation myself with one other. It is a way to have activities and funds separated, legally from your private life.

What you are against is the multi-national conglomerates. They are shadowy, and legally sneeky. They spend vast sums to have it their way.

Hobby Lobby, imports by the TON from Asia sweat shops making little do-dads for nothing.

SCOTUS lost its moral and ethical credibility with me when they affirmed that money was equivalent to free speech.

Clearly, they're nothing more than corporate greedheads themselves.

Do you think anyone cares about your ideas of morality?

That is why we have the Rule of Law. That is why we have an Independent Judiciary.

It is to save us from you.

EXACTLY- corporations are designed to separate the economic gain of an activity from responsibility for its consequences.
