Hey everyone! I'm a little confused on GH feeding chart. At the very bottom on the second page it says tips and then it lists "Water with fresh water once a week"

I am planning on growing in peat moss, so would only need to water about twice a week. Does that mean that I would flush it basically every other week?

Anyone ever use this feeding schedule? Any suggestions?

IMO flushing in a soilless mix is when you would water your pot with plain water, but use 2-3 times the amount of water you would normally use.

Some growers like to nute feed every watering with a few smaller doses to equal the weekly feeding chart dosage. Others like rotating with nutrients one watering and plain watering the next. Basically there are quite few combinations you could use that will all work fine in the right situations(how often you need to water basically)

GH is suggesting a plain water feeding weekly to prevent salt build up, so lockout ois not an issue. If you really wanted to run nutes every feeding you could use low doses, and also incorporate drip clean that will help dissolve the salts in your medium hopefully preventing lockout from salt build up.

Got ya. So, GH would want a plain water feeding every other time basically. In veg I was thinking of adding Silica, CalMg and Hyrdozyme to this mix. Does hydrozyme help with this as well…

If you were going to do nutes every time, how much would you give them? Has anyone had personal experience with this feed chart?

you can use the nova in any medium but yes it was designed for hydro n soiless. i've used it in soil for a few years a while back, just did feed, water, water, feed.....n light on the nutes.

Personally I don't start supplementing with enzymes until flower. If I was using organic additives I would contemplate adding them in veg, but even then it's debatable whether or not it would be necessary.

If you were going to nute feed every time you would first want a good idea how often you are going to need to water, because watering 3 times a week is going to be different than watering twice a week. ooonce you determine how often you have to feed, basically divide your weekly applications by how many time you are watering. I wouldn't try this unless you really have your plants feeding and water needs dialed in, because salt build up can fuck you up.

Are you saying it won't work as well in soil? If you were only watering 2 times a week, would you just feed every other time?

I would imagine it's going to be every 3-4 days in peat moss soil. I'm confused on your equation… Are you saying every other time since that is about 2 times a week?

Im in promix so it's like every 3 days up until week 4 of flower and then my girls usually need it every 2.

IM not trying to be a dick chuck. Ive ran almost every base and I sell nutes couple days a week at the hydro shop so im just familiar with this shit.

This is going to spark a debate, but I like 24hr's

Im under the impression that when your plants rest they put energy into storing sugars for the the expected dark period. Of course im going to be unprofessional and say that "I cant find the scientific journal that supports this", but it is something that was published in the last year Ill try and dig it up.

Anyway i figured that if the plant is not expecting a dark period it will not put any energy into storing for the dark periods, and put that energy elsewhere. Im gonna get bashed for this but w/e.

Honestly I've tried it all and never seen a that much of a difference. I proabbly dont use anything besides 24hr becasue im too lazy to set timers jk(well kinda haha)
