Dispensary

So I've been thinking lately and there's just a thought that won't leave me the hell alone. "I want to open my own dispensary!"
Now I know what a lot of you are thinking "here's another pothead that wants to get rich quick" but I've actually never smoked weed! I just LOVE growing it and knowing I can help people.

I have some really good ideas on how mine would be different from any other dispensary but at the end of the day I don't have the money. The resources or all the knowledge I need to get this thing off the ground.

How could I fund this thing? How do I get licenses? Any information that you guys can provide would really help a lot. Thank you

You stated nothing about your unique ideas but are rather clear on the lack of funds.

I dont see it happening unless your ideas have a lot to do with convincing investors to solve your money shortfall.

If in Colorado you should read up on the MED website. All the rules and regulations are there.

But you see. I don't want to start in Colorado. That's where everyone is going. And there are plenty of other states that are in need of more dispensaries

Then research the regulations in the state you want to do business in?

Clean background and a shit ton of cash can buy the rest. Probably outta go golfing a lot, plenty of venture capital strolling around the links.

Start with a lawyer, there are lawyers that only work with dispensary owners for a living. Get one of those, google it. That is what is going to cost you the most. From there you need a product, then customers. 1,2,3 but the first will be the most expensive. Everybody from the city, county, and your lawyer are going to want money.

That makes sense thank you. But I think my biggest problem will be the fact that I don't live in Hawaii yet

Just keep in minds the amount of applications whih are submitted. Why would yours be different? Do you have a location picked? Sequrity in line? Any board members who knows politically involved members? Atleast 500k sitting in acct after opening the doors? Money for equipment and stains? Money to survivethe first year if grows are not large aneough? Money to pay employees? Money for software and ability to track plants? Its huge bullshit project which im sure is close to impossble unless you know someone who will put your application to the top.

My opinion anyways, just grow big and stash it. Sell to patients cheaper but still make more money. Small amount which keep it legal transactions

But see the problem with "small amounts" to keep it legal is that I live in a state where it completely illegal

Not too bad then. My assumption is states will be medcal for atleast few years before some sort of dispensary senerio. So if your ob here already then you know growing which gives you a big head start on others... practice maximizing yield per plant rather than sqft cause alot of places do plant count. When movement begins in your state and you can step up and say your getting 1.5-2lb a light per plant.

Thats what i would do anyways, getting in on the ground floor on big industry would mean to have connections. Which sounds like you dont so you mine as well get in where you can and where you have knowledge
