I think most if not all vape pens are meant for oils or waxes.
Maybe you could turn your ice wax into a rosin so it's easier to smoke out of a standard vape pen.
I think the problem with smoking bubble hash inside a vape pen is that the coil doesn't heat up enough to combust the plant material and it makes for a really harsh smoke.
Depending on the quality of your ice wax, you may be able to just smoke it out of a pen.

does it not go through to the coil and fuck up the coil?atmos vape pen gave me the only real hit of bubble i ever tastes out of a pen.

It does. They all do. Unless your using a nail and torch you'll always have the residue issue. I know of no good pen.

I am like you, I use solvenless wax pretty much exclusively now. I got away from the bho despite how good this shit is around here, lol.
Atmos is actually recommended by some for ice wax. But yea, that hot coil is gonna get residue on it no matter how good your shit is. And with ice wax and even bho, the issue is the direct heat is too much and ruins the flavor. A Vape Scrape(silicone tipped stainless tool) and some 91% iso will keep it in good shape tho.
There are a few other pens out there with better designs. I have not looked into it in a long time. I may do some looking today as I too am in the market for different ways to use SLW. The Cera is a good place to start. Or perhaps one with a better replaceable coil piece, Ti2 coil and ceramic wick is getting popular. I've even seen them with lil screens over the coil now, seems like that would produce something like a screen melt, video for your pleasure on that below, hehe.
PS> My go-to for SLW recently is Ti2 screen over a bowl or slide, then lightly hit it with the flame from some hempwick while you hit the pipe. Gives good hits and flavor if you do it right. That or I just roll it up with some flower, spliff style.

I've been using the seego vhit reload cart for bubble hash with success. Most of the hash I get is pretty melty. It's not hard to clean the coil when junk starts building up.

It has a LARGE Ti Atomizer, that has a cap, so you can actually put more than a couple of crumbs in there.
If your hash is good, HOLY SMOKE the taste is like heaven, blows ANY oil away in regards to flavor.

For smoking melty hash in a pen i like the viva la vape patriot. Its a 3 in 1 but the oil and flower part suck. The gash attachment works great though

The gpen with the gcoil has been very good to me. You can put a good amount in it to carry around. Or buy a micro gpen. almost the same but you get 2 for about a hundred. Immitiations go for a little less but the gcoil wont work on an imitation gpen. Different threads on the batteries.

We sell lots of different vape pens at my work but a problem many users have is trying to load the product into the concentrate cartridges. i wanted a minimal fuss pen for shatter/oil/hash. I decided on the Vape Ape cuz i like the glass "gorilla globe". Its much easier to load the product than other makes. The replacement coils are under ten bucks so when it gets all clogged and resined out (im still on initial coil after 2 months) you can just swap it out. For shatter its great but for lower grade hash like imported black or 2nd grade bubble hash (160 - 120 micron bags/screens) the product just kinda smolders and the taste can be off-putting as blunter the kid said above. I tried all the different hash i had in it and found that anything 90 micron or smaller smokes pretty good iMo. Some dont smoke as well but those are mostly poorly dried. For green or herb vaping the king is still the Volcano but for pen style im using a G PRO x DGK camo pen ive tried a bunch of different pen types and feel the G PRO has the best flavour extraction of the ones ive used. the old cheaper desktop type taste like burnt popcorn but the G PRO only has a perfumed terpene flavour i really like and recommend Grenco science products (Gpen, Gpro, and Gmicro lines) like RSX above me. Just put some cotton candy or blueberry or other distinct strains in there and you'll be convinced.

I use the Atmos Jr & love it! Trick is to not use more than about .2 of a gram. Get your extract smeared all around on the ceramic tank, not the coil in bottom of tank. While using, don't hold in 1 position, especially not straight down. Swivel & roll that sucker to keep your extract on the ceramic walls of the tank. The ceramic tank is the difference with the Atmos, so vape off the ceramic, not metal coil. So fresh & so CLEAN CLEAN!

Tesla vape pens work great for ice wax. If you make it right there is very little residue. Same as what bho leaves behind. Most residue from bubble comes from the trichome stalks. If you do a quick gentle wash. And grate it down and completely dry it in a cold environment. Ice wax will melt the same. Anything that's oily or waxy will leave a residue. Bho and oils all leave a yellowish / beige residue. So its not much difference in residue consistency with bubble vs bho. Other than color. You have shitty bubble with plant matter then there will be ash .
