Hey everyone. So this year I am looking into getting a trimmer for harvest, and there is so much on the market right now so im not sure what to grab. I was looking at the spin pros and they seem real nice, but $350 for a stainless steel salad spinner! CMON. Im sure there has to be something similar that is a fraction of the price. Im open to any ideas.

Looks to me like with the dispensaries and such becoming more and more of a business opportunity for would be vendors, looks like theres some real price gouging going on in the world of cannabis specific trimmers.

I paid 250 for my spin pro trimmer and well worth every damn penny. it paid for itself the 1st time I used it when it cut my harvest time from 18 hrs to about 7.5 hrs.

that's kinda what I have, but in a 18" version.

ALL my buds come out perfectly trimmed. I have to take some pics of my flowers for a new potential patient. when I do, ill post them up here to show you the excellent job it does. this wont be until later on this evening tho.

Great looking forward to it! Do you notice the quality being sacrificed when you use your spinner? Some people were saying you knock off 40%ish of glands, but not sure if they trimmed wet or dry

it does knock a little more goodness than hand trimming. but well well worth the time it saves. when im cleaning the trimmer, I use ISO and normally get about 7-10 grams of iso oil after its all evaped and such. I then use 1/2 of that for edibles, in which I pass out freely to my patients. who LOVE the free treats.

the trim I pass along to my buddy who makes BHO for me. last time I had 2x 1gal zip lock baggies full of trim for 14 6.5' tall plants. which netted me 17.63grams of top shelf BHO. some of that ill use to make e-cig juice (thc juice), and the rest will be mine.

and you always trim wet/fresh off the plant with this trimmer, never dried.

I have a trimpro and they have there uses. I havent used it in a few years as I only harvest 12 plants at the best of times indoors. They do rip the odd bud off but typically if using one the odd bud does not matter. Also you have to use it pretty quick before the leaves lay down in my experience. You will still need to do some hand trimming as well. Oh and dont drop the scissors on it lol.

I have a trimpro automatik that I highly recommend but it is best used with outdoor harvests where the buds tend to be separate nugs.

^^^ actually never used it on anything but outdoor grows. IMO unless your doing a crap load its better to do it by hand but again just my opinion. I did get a bit of loss using it. Never seen the automatic work. Saved my ass a few times trying to beat the clock with mold and getting them done.

I take all the fans off then manually cut down the larger sugar leaves. then 15-18 spins and mine come out looking excellent. they don't do larger colas that well unfortunately.

Wow I used mine exactly opposite lol. Used it to remove all of the big stuff and then hand trimmed. Like I said I haven't used it a while though. Hopefully next summer I'll break it out. Daddy needs a new truck lol.

I saw a small BBQ with a bathroom fan inside pointed up, the the Grill on the outside.
Uses 110, cutting drop into BBQ body, it worked pretty nice and was Not $350.
(Small squarish BG grill )
