Too late to get benefits of transplanting?

First outdoor grow, have a plant in a 20G bag that's been there 2-3 weeks. Trying to figure out if enough time in the season for her to benefit from a transplant to 30-50G containers/ground?

Good point. Thank you. Lady at soil store said the same thing as far as why risk it. Should of listened, but I pulled down the bag and it looked pretty root bound so I cut the bag only to find out it wasn't root bound, and just starting to fill up the bag. I transplanted her since I cut the bag already, but a little bit of the root system fell off during transplanting.

Hope she doesn't get stressed out too much :/ Gave her some beneficials to try to help out.

Thank you for helping!

if u know how to transplant it should be no risk, only benefit, even with only a few weeks of veg left
I do know how, but didn't realize how much moisture there was in the bag + thought the root system was much more filled out then it actually was. It was a 20G bag, she still had some room to root out. Having the root system a little more filled out and the right moisture content in the root ball helps when transplanting 20+ gallon root balls with a torn shoulder.. Didn't go as well as I hoped. But doesn't appear to have any shock yet, still reaching up for the light.

could have left in 20 (gallon)? Bag. Where do you live how long till nights draw in? How big do you want your plant?

Yeah I could have and probably should have but oh well. The bigger the better! What is done is done, so i'll just leave her be and let her ride it out :) About two weeks til bloom..

Transplanting(correctly) right now will add 25% to 100% to the yield. The pix to my transplanting methods, were lost. When transplanting, add a LOT of water and small amounts of nutrients to your planting mix. Place the 'depotted' plant in its final position and GENTLY pour the oatmeal consistency mix in around it. The plant should suffer no damage and show a big growth spurt in about a week.

You gotta ask ...where you gonna be in 6 months, many will say ...winter, but you may extend veg time by including some of those shitty solar garden lights to extend your veg

I wondered if something like that would work. That's a deal, I will def. have to pick a couple of those up to at least extend it a little while, although she seems happier than before so I don't think she got shocked too much if at all. Just transplanted one to 100g not too long ago so will def have to let her ride it out a little longer. Thanks man!

With the lights, I just worried about the neighbors, but if those would work I don't think those would seem to out of the ordinary?

how the hell do you transplant a 20G pot?...I hate to do anything more than 4. I would imagine it would be a lot more stressfull especially if the roots started clinging to the bag. that's a lot of rips and tears in the root system. I would imagine it would take at least 2 people to do the big transplant.

"Just a little disclaimer: I don't really grow weed, hell I've never even tried it. My shrink suggested I develop an alter-ego to help with my low self esteem. So I took on the identity of a marijuana grower. Seemed real exciting and a little risqué… So if I post any pictures, sorry but they're just something I found on the internet. Thanks in advance for playing along, and helping me with these tough times!"

IDK if I ever told you (I think I have) that's some pussy shit... are you really that scared that you have to put that stupid ass statement in your sig? you think that would help you in court or something?.

Lay a few around the garden like along a path or some such, I have used them in the past, when caught out by in ground plants and inclement weather, charge the batteries up on your phone charger after 3-4 weeks as they go dim fast in the cold, man are they a happy sight in a shitty winter ....lol

Nope just one person... You just have to be smart enough to figure it out.. Some people just lack the gift of intelligence..

It's cool that you can talk shit over the internet without being provoked or any reason at all. Let's meet up & have this conversation in person./QUOTE]

please tell me how you transplant a 20G pot alone?? break that down for me.. do you suspend it by the trunk and tear the growbag off while its dangling in the air? How does an intelligent person do this?
