If it was me I would just use promix, garden tone, castings and soil moist. Keep it simple, that mix should get you well into flowering depending on strain. Then, if the plant displays any need you can just add liquid nutrients to your water. When mixing soil, I usually go by espomas recommendations for potted plants. If the pot is bigger then just adjust accordingly

well the local hydro store had some vermipost or something soil on sale...was thinking it might be good to have more in the mixture ? Or, I was thinking the Coco Loco would also additionally help with water retention....
You don't think I should use either ? And no vermiculite either ? I don't want that soil drying out completely seeing as I may not be there for weeks on end.
I don't think vermiculite is used for water retention, I may be wrong, but when you put it like that "weeks on end" you should do everything possible to retain water in your mixture. I usually do perlite and water crystals but I cant really help you there because ive never left a grow for weeks on end. If your going to be away that long it would probably be better suited for you to dig holes in the ground and backfill with your soil mix. They will survive much better between waterings in the ground than in pots

If you can't water and only water when it rains use a lot of "peat moss" it holds an amazing amount of water some can hold up to 25x it's weight in water.
i make my own soil, have a worm bin, and recycle my soil. Only bottled product i use is a potash supplement for simple smells and a slightly better taste. Sugree is what i use and everything else is strickly organic and living. Grow my own mycorr. And my plants have never been happier.
remember mj is a WEED after all. It will grow in horrible Conditions but really strive in anything "good" just keep it simple and stick to the basics and grow from there.
but as far as water ret. Goes add would go with 25-40% peat moss if you can't water.

FWIW, Walmart has their Espoma and Osmocote stuff on clearance if you use it

Hello new to growing buds. I was just wondering cuz I have iron tone, soil acidifier, garden lime, bone meal and blood meal all from Espoma. Could any one tell me how to properly use this stuff for 5 gal and 3 gal? My soil is one brick coir, nature's care organic potting mix, perlite, peat moss and some times worm compost for a 5 gal and could anyone tell me if they have used Bonide fruit tree spray for bug problems?
