i had chickens and ducks in the same backyard as my old grow. no bueno.

once i have some land again and can build another greenhouse, there will be geese kept in a pen around the perimeter of the greenhouse. they will be incubator hatched and raised lovingly by hand by me.

geese are where it's at for poultry protection services.

just cleared it all out and cleaned it all out. gonna use old cat carriers for their nesting boxes. there's even a tall dog crate in there in case some of them want to perch.

just gotta cut the chicken door tomorrow, build a run, and staple the chicken wire over it.

can't forget to lay down some nice straw for the little fuckers too.
It sounds like the place is going to hell.

peacocks are the best guard birds, but are loud at times.

birds flying in the house freak me out, too. I swatted a girlfriends parakeet out of the air, purely out of reflex. the relationship fizzled after that. I think birds are cool, but once in the house its a whole new ball game. I'm not the type to be cruel to animals I'm not going to eat, and that fucking parakeet haunts me.
