Best LED's for indoor growing....

Hi!



I grow Ficus indoors as bonsai, and have recently began looking into LED lighting. I wanted to get some good information because all I seem to find is about using LED's with plants that flower. Ficus don't flower, so I don't necessarily need that. I'm looking to spend under $400 for one. Is this Mars 2 a good light?

I'm in market for LEDs but not sure where to go it reall y expensive for the name brand ones. Good luck and safe travels.

Yes I'm very wary of Chinese made anything let alone LED lights that cost 400 bucks. Really I would go into the LED sub forum and ask around. They do know their shit.

It's an ok light, and its about 475 watts give or take 50...Leds perform better when they aren't driven to their max rating [5w] in this case. These are driven at probably 2-2.5v's each.

Not a terrible spectrum, but what are you space requirements? This thing could easily veg a 3x3 to 4x4 space @ 24" inches.

Given all that, they put out about half the rated output of what a similary priced "quality" Led light does, in photons.

That being Area 51, Onyx, Hans, AT [but a little higher priced....ok double]

Maybe want to look at the Onxy veg light @Rapidled

Bml also makes a spendy little bar system or individual bars. I only mention this because you can customize your spectrum, but the Bml has been beaten to death by certain member, but good results

Ebb and flow table...outstanding results with the light.

It's adjustable spectrum and will run less electric. It wont have the same footprint as your 900 watt, but i don't know how big of an area your trying to cover. The LH 270 will cover a 3x3 vegging space and some.
