Making Sure with you all

I was just wondering.. I would like to explain what I plan to do, and..since I am a first time grower, I would like to ask you please if my 'plan' will work. Anyways, basically so you get the gist of it, I live in the Appalachian Mountains in the south east. I have never grown before, and due to small (really small) indoor space I am forced to grow outside (who needs the electric bill anyways? lol). So, I live literally right next to the woods. I can walk outside and walk 20 feet and Im in the woods, so no worries about being caught, but sun is a bit of the problem in the woods. I wasn't sure if my precious plants would get enough sun? And if it was a problem I was thinking of cutting down the surrounding tall plants with leaves ( just the ones around it, and Ive already cut a few down just to make sure my plants get all of that 11:00-2:00 sun from above ) so that it gets the necessary amount. I've read loads on how to grow, but most of it was indoors.

But I'm not finished yet, the soil seems like shit out there in the woods, and with the slight lack of light and less than good soil I was afraid they may not grow at all! So, my plan was to dig a garden, yes literally. I was going to dig about 1 foot deep and then 4 1/2 feet long and 3 feet wide, about 13.5 cubic feet. I was then going to go to Lowe's and get some Miracle-Gro tree and shrub soil, would this soil suit marijuana? I feel that the roots will go deeper than 1 foot, but I figure once they have gotten near a foot long they will be mature enough to deal with less nutritious soil or be able to use the branch-off roots to continue to get their food from the soil.

I am afraid of bugs as well. I don't exactly want to spray my plants down with 'bug-away' but then again, what else am I to do? I was thinking of perhaps building a small greenhouse, about 5-5 1/2 feet long and 4 feet wide, and covered with polyethylene plastic wrap. To water them, I would nail all the polyethylene to the wooden frame and leave 1 part of the roof (it would be a basic triangle shaped roof so there would be 2 sides for the polyethylene to be nailed to) un-nailed so that I can lift it up and water it every day. This will keep bugs away and I was thinking that it may help the plants grow better.

Yes..sorry that was so long, anyways, if you would could you please tell me what in my plan is not necessary and what may be, and maybe how likely a chance it is to succeed?

And btw, does anybody know an outdoor method for drying your plants? (Not entirely outdoor, but at least partly). Greatly appreciated.

i think you forgot this is a stoner website and people like short post with pics lol. But instead of digging a garden why not just dig 1 hole per plant, fill it with a garbage bag, fill the bag with soil. (browndirtwarrior does that). As for a green house, that sounds like that would stick out and become found.

Lol, quite. I'll start putting my big posts into smaller larger numerated posts lol.

Yes I was thinking that as well, about the greenhouse. How big do you suppose the holes should be? I mean, if I started growing tomorrow, I dont exactly know how big my plants should be? Whats average size? I guess a 3'x3' hole should work right?

And as for lighting, I should just cut down surrounding limbs right?
