I got my second RW-75 up and running yesterday and flipped my cheese scrog to 12/12. I'm excited to see what these LEDs can do with this cut, I've run it under HPS before so I know what it can do.

No, she's too big, and I'm too tired, to pull her out of the tent, at least right now.
That doesn't mean that I don't have someone else ready to show you her natural beauty.
My Space Queen pheno, of Timewreck, did something unexpectedly recently.
When flowered under T5, and ProSource LED's, she stayed pure green.
Now, under a different spectrum of LED light, she's finally showing her true colors.
She's turning purple, and red, just like her mother, Bloodwreck.
This cut just earned itself a nickname, all hail the Blood Queen!

Hey LED growers, I have a question and figured I could get some decent responses here rather than creating a new thread.

I'm currently running a single plant SCRoG with a Cheese clone, 5gal smart pot under two RW-75s in a 2.5x2.5 tent. What's the max number of plants you'd run in this setup? I have 5 Blue Dream plants I tossed in the tent along the top of my SCRoG frame (had to sex them due to space limitations). Trying to decide on how many to flower when this Cheese clone finishes. I have four 3 gal smart pots I planned to use to fit more plants in my space. Opinions?

I would only do one, a single scrogged plant can easily fill a 4x4' (16 ft²) with little training. A 2.5x2.5 (6.25 ft²) would get over packed very fast with alot of sativa/hybrid stains if you veg too long. I have seen thick forests over 4 feet tall fill 3x3' tents with less than 25 days of veg from a single plant.

Yes a lot will come down to the strain I'm running. I prefer Indicas but was gifted these Blue Dream cross seeds. It would be nice to run more than one strain at a time though. I was told two RW-75s can match the performance of a 250W and I've seen sucessful three plant SCRoGs in my size tent under a 250W.

I wasn't going to SCroG these Blue Dream plants, does that change how many you'd suggest flowering? I've got some seeds coming from Breeders Boutique, really wanted to run more than just one strain at a time.

2 lights, 2 plants; half the tent each. If one gets taller than the other you can raise a light as needed, also make sure they have similar finishing times so you can harvest close together.

Took your advice and kept the 2 best "blue dream" plants (probably a blue dream cross actually), got them transplanted and I think I'll just train them out rather than SCRoG them.

Dont ask, "whats the best light out there", ask "whats the best light for MY purpose"

LEDs have worked for me so far, on my very small grow. Understand, though LEDs have worked for me so far, HIDs seem to have better penetration, intensity, and are cheaper. Also, know that most LED configurations dont provide all the spectrums you need; its best to supplement with something else. And they are only cost effective for small personal grows. If you tried to do a large grow you would spend a small fortune!

But, i like what ive seen so far. and the technology will only improve from here.

I compare the LED backlash to the L4 backlash a few years back. When i first got a 4 cylinder car, all the V8 people laughed, and said economy cars suck ass. its not as fast, true, but its the RIGHT VEHICLE FOR MY PURPOSE. People say its not the best car, but it works, and cheaply, so its the best car for me. Those V8 people stopped laughing when gas hit 4 bucks a gallon. HID users will come around eventually. remember the first 4 cylinders to hit the market? They sucked! Now there are some bad ass cars that are gas sipping L4s! Give it time, have faith.

hey man, what kind of LED's are you using? right now im using some no name LED to grow five plants, its a 280 watt light, but i just ordered 2x240 watt dirt genius leds. im gonna add one to my veg room along with the other led and throw the other one in my flower room because my raspberry cough plant is in preflowering. or do you think i should put both 240's in the flower room since flowering requires more light? ALSO my plants have very yellow leaves curling up near the middle and bottom. if you go on my profile theyre there (although my plants are larger now) -ill throw some new pics up in a bit. any advice is helpful, thanks!

Hi guys,
Just saw this link posted on a friends journal decided to pop over ad say hi,.
Disclaimer: This is my first LED grow, I have grown with 600 hps up until now, housing situation and no air forced me to explore a cheap option just for this one
grow until I moved. So I started looking at cheaper lights, I figured if they got me through a grow I might use them for veg later. since I was using t5's to veg.
However that being said I am very pleased with the success even from the cheap LED so I do plan to upgrade to better ones for my flower tent at some point in the future.
I would even like to run a side by side for myself once I get situated in my new house,. I will have half a full basement to grow in then.

my final conclusion is I like the LED's and once I get situated I can explore maximizing the potential just to push the limits and see what I can do.

Oh man I can't wait for my new LED box to go live!
Pretty small box, I plan on doing a perpetual scrog with Northern Lights. 6' high x 2' x 1.5' box. Flower chamber is about 4' high, veg chamber about 2' high, little less.

Flower chamber has an Area 51 RW-75 and I plan on adding maybe 4x 9.5w 3000k Cree bulbs, one in each corner.
Veg chamber is going to be strictly 5000k 9w Cree bulbs, 8-10 of those.

Still finishing my box up but things are coming together nicely. Can't wait to post some bud pics!

Here is my current LED grow on day 32 flowering from the flip. On the right side 2x Black Cherry Cola, Front middle Harlequin, back middle and left 2 plants are a mystery kush that was wrongly labeled when I got it. Its either lemon kush, bubba og or madman og which were the 3 strains they had that would smell and taste like it does...either way its fire! Feel free to follow my journal...link in my sig..
