Newbie/ outdoor growing problems

20140718_174231.jpg Im wondering whats going on with my calyx's they are turning a brownish color some of them are still green though. I live in texas I keep them outside all day and usually give them two gallons of water every day

Two gallons of water per day might be a bit overkill. Does the soil around the plant stay moist all of the time?

Nope no nutrients but it def seems like I should, leaves are turning yellow and falling off by themselves sometimes and they wrinkle and turn brown at the tips sometimes too. I had males in there for awhile before I even took them out. Will that affect budding?

Get some nutes on her asap because shes about to go into flwr soon. Yes, the males could have pollinated the female...seedy bud as a result

I always go by feel- I do not water until soil is dry an inch or two down. In Tx you're gonna definately gonna water more often. Its been hot in Cal my pots can only go about 2 full days in the sun before they start weeping.

No expert either

but I think you need a all purpose type first to correct deficenys ,then once your deficenys are corrected you can worry about flower --- but that's just my best quess

Im no expert with nutrients lol could u give me example of an all purpose type nutrient. Don't they label by three numbers (2-2-2) something like that?

Your soil is high in P! That's the yellowing problem you have......Hard to fix in natural soil your already in....You might try using some Silica as that has the ability to HELP regulate P uptake.....
I might use a bit of Ca/Mg on the days you don't use the Silica. In other words alternate the silica and Ca/Mg, one watering use one and the other the next.....Keep it up till straight water finish....

If I were to feed it....I would fined something with a LOW P content.

more accurate ones can be had at local college agriculture extensions , but the otherones work well enouth for their purpose

The nutes are listed as an analysis like this 10 10 10. And they represent Nitrogen, Phosphorus and Potassium and are always in that order. So the first number is the nitrogen the second is the potassium etc.
All purpose fertilizers have those three elements but plants need small amounts of minor elements too and they are just as important as the major elements. So look for a listing of micro nutes on the package. If it isn't listed then it isn't in there. But u can get some Azomite from Amazon .com for a few dollars and it has 70 trace elements in it. More than enough.
I make my own mix but I also like the mixes from Fox Farm and the others I would just add the azomite like I said to make the soil more fertile.
