I have a plant grown from a feminized seed that I won't be able to get anymore of...Help ! Please...

It's still in veggie stage... Can I use a Colloidal Silver to spray her with to turn her to produce pollen? Will this work and turn her into a male ?................or will it cause her to produce pollen that will bred hermies??
Thanks for any input. :peace:

Have you heard of cloning? You can take a cutting of the plant, and root it. It will be an exact replica.

If your feminized plant is an auto, then you should consider using the colloidal silver.

Home Despot is your place, u can get a little cheap ass grow light and a drip watering system for less than $30, keep that bitch live for years if u have power and water. seeds from herms are like rolling dice.

I'm away from home for long periods of time. I was hoping of a way to make seeds.
This plant is not an auto. So you think it would not be advisable to CS a feminized plant?

Good idea you got there. I wanted seeds to grow in a different part of the country when I travel since I stay put in an area for months at a time. Seeds for me would be a lot easier to travel with then a plant. I wish I could..........
But do you think CS on a fem/plant would be bad taboo?

I think the answer you were looking for is....YES

For whatever reason, when colloidal silver solution is sprayed regularly on a female cannabis plants during the early flowering stage, she will grow male "balls" (which are full of female pollen) instead of growing buds.

This allows the grower to collect pollen from a female cannabis plant. You can use this all-female pollen to pollinate another female plant. With two female plants as parents, ALL the seeds will end up being female.

That is why colloidal silver allows can be used create female x female cannabis crosses and produce your own feminized seeds.

Rodelization
takes advantage of the fact that a female plant will try to pollinate herself as a last resort when she doesn't get pollinated and is nearing the end of her lifecycle. That is why sometimes older or stressed female plants grow a few male "balls" as a last-ditch attempt to self-pollinate. When successful, she will grow a few seeds.

These self-pollinated seeds will have gotten both sets of genes from the same female plant, so both parents will be female, and all resulting seeds with be female.

^^^^^ the short answer is yes! It is better to pollinate another clone i believe, but pretty sure you can do it on the same plant. You will only get hermies if the strain is prone to do that. Femmed seeds are not hermies fyi lol.

Avoid spraying the whole plant spray the lower 2 laterals, you only need one bud to flower male pollen, then pollinate the rest of the plant to get them seeds, avoid toking CS sprayed buds ...not healthy at all....lol beside when you got the time ....lol

Colloidal silver induced pollen sacs are NOT herms.

If you get REAL colloidal silver (shine a laser through it andyou should see the beam, and it also shouldn't burn your plants at all), the plant will make pollen sacs (female pollen sacs) which will have pollen that will only have the x chromosome so all seeds resulting from it will be female. IF you self pollinate the plant you spray, it will make seeds that are not clones, but ratherthe ame as if you had two parents with 100% the same genetics, getting crossed. The genes could still recombine differently, but they will act as if both parents had every trait that got passed on because both are technically from one organism.

When a marijuana plant pollinates itself it is a hermi, i dont care how u want to rationalize it, this is not a debatable fact. Yes it is a female and yes it is not a male, but when it grows balls it is displaying the definition of a hermaphrodite plant. A hermi produces seeds with higher chances of being a hermi, good breeding/genetics can lessen this, but not eliminate it.

That is not at all scientifically correct.

Colloidal Silver bonds with copper in theplant and inhibits ethylene production which is what signals the plant to make calyxes with pistils instead of pollen sacs. When the ethylene is inhibited, no calyxes/pistils are made. Therefore, nothing bad comes from breeding with those seeds.

If you stress a plant to make it create pollen sacs, that is a different story, because all those pollen sacs are showing is that the plant has a low stress tolerance ("hermie trait"), which will be strengthened in selfed seeds because it will be as if both parents had the trait.

Don't spread rumors about Colloidal Silver selfed plants creating hermies. It is not true by any means. As a matter of fact, as a little extra evidence, from other notable members on here:

seems to me u have oversimplified this. The CS forces the plant to hermi. I m not saying u cant get stable genetics from it, look at every seed sellers fem seeds, but u are rolling the dice as not all genetics will be stable after you cause the parent to hermi. How u can say CS doesnt make a plant hermi is beyond me.
I explained exactly what the cs does, and yet I'M the one oversimplifying. Lol

Again...
