Then... you realize what Canada is doing is just a refinement of the Colorado model, right? Canada is switching from the wild-west California model of mostly un-regulated home grows with obscene plant totals, to a carefully regulate market, like Colorado.
incorrect.
Canada is not in the midst of a refined Colorado model, not even close.
Canada has never been a California model.
Canada has been a Canadian model.

Bring on the regulations, we just need affordable and reasonable access.

You still didn't a answer how much of the money you made did you donate for cannabis research? like tweed is doing now to help understand the benefits for patients? Obviously zero so I'd say we are moving forward from the dark ages here. Not to mention tweed is a highly regulated product and a public company if they do anything shady the whole world will know about it. Who knows what goes on in some of those shops. And I think that's the point health canada didn't know thus changing the system. It is what it is a better way to make sure everything is done correctly and safely.

Simple debate sunni, theres no offensive or dereogitory remarks being thrown around.

Greenthumbz420, i agree research and development is important and 4$ a gram is very appealing. My script is for 15g a day, i cant afford 60$/day - 420$/week. I had a very in-expensive grow meeting my needs, those rights where taken from me and i am now considered a criminal if i do so. Where do i get my medication that once upon a time i could afford?

Okay? How about you qualify those claims? You aren't saying anything concrete or substantive. I'm open to your arguments, but you have to actually make them.

California model is/was largely unregulated home grows, just like MMAR. Colorado model is/was carefully-regulated commercial grows. The only real, significant difference between Colo. and MMPR is Colo. allows 6 plants per person recreational. That's the comparison I'm making. If you have a substantive argument to show why that's not a valid critique, great. Let me read it.

I'm not against home grows. Neither are any of the LP's from the interviews I've read. They usually say the not everyone wants to grow their own. I hope you do go on with your grow. I'm against the people who own little shops make a killing then go after legitimate companies with their incorrect slander.

Thanks sunni, im sure the targets appreciate it. The LP discussion is turning into a abortion type debate, i do take part but lets keep it respectful. Its good to hear debates and arguements from both sides, its what forums are all about.

Fair enough, I will give it a shot from memory.

California...
Patients do not have to register with the State ( obviously they don't register Federally ). Nothing like the MMAR.

Patients could very easily get a licence. Same can't be said for the MMAR.

Medical Growers did / do have regulations in place from the State, the key one being plant numbers. I don't know why you say that California is largely unregulated? In Canada under the MMAR the government wouldn't apply a plant grow cap...we all have theories on why Canada allowed this to happen.

Patients can buy from dispensaries in bud, concentrate, or edible form...not an option under the MMAR

So...I don't see the California model even remotely similar to the MMAR Canada model.

Colorado allows home grown, the ability to go to a store and buy. Allows concentrates and edibles....how is this even close to the restrictive MMPR program?

Thank you for your opinion.
Are you a patient?

I'd be surprised if Tweed does not recover most of that research money via some creative accounting.. these are not the noble knights of modern society but they sure would love us to believe they actually are

Tweed is done ..... everyone has seen the product they produce...... it's garbage from what is posted.... not even sure if one person even liked tweeds offerings..... I don't think so..... The name is out there..... only thing saving them now is changing is difficult and brand new patients wont know any better..... oh yeah no new LP's so the market is covered for them.
