Florida Growers Thread

I'd go grow in south Florida, but only for someone who owns the whole condominium complex, or has nine figures to the left of the decimal. Those people would understand the potential of this new market and are in a unique position to capitalize on its development there.

I wouldn't go to grow a little tiddley winks op, that's just asking for it.

The most important piece of legal advice I ever got from a law professor was that if you're going to do a thing that's against the law, do it BIG. The rewards pay for the risk and the defense team, you're less likely to lose, and less likely to spend hard time if you do than the poor starving bastard who ran out of the grocery store without paying for a loaf of bread.

I've been in talks with a very public organization down in Fl that plans on opening cultivation facilities throughout the state if everything works out regulation wise. I was hoping to do that and start my own facility as long as there would be no competition clause in the contract. What are cultivators in commercial facilities making in CO currently?

It's all over the map and indeed often reflects what the grower THINKS they're worth, as opposed to real ability and/or experience.

Everyone is a pro until they blow up their first 100k op, right? And then it's someone else's fault?

To answer the basic question, it's anywhere from $20 an hour for good work hands on up to the sky is the limit for a 'celebrity grower'- whatever that is.

I'm very expensive, for example. On the other hand, I have a business plan that says what I'm peddling is a fucking steal at twice the price. How many growers do you know with a business plan? It's allllllll about that ROI, baby!

The truth is, I have something that is far more rare and valuable than just another grower; I have a genuine, bona fide startup opportunity.

That's why I'm done with the nickel and dime players; I need real investment capital- and not necessarily for what might first come to mind, either.

That certainly cannot be the best piece of legal advice a law professor ever gave you, I'd have trouble even believing that a "t.v. lawyer" would tell you that, let alone a professor. "Doing it big" is sure to draw a lot more attention and get you caught. Surely, having money for a defense and preparations for such circumstances doesn't hurt and should be a given before you decide to start an illegal operation; doing it big is not equivalent to doing it right. The idea is to never reach the point of being investigated or arrested, let alone going to court and paying for a defense team; in order to avoid that, you do it quiet and right, not "BIG" !!! :bigjoint:
 
Ive been subbed to this thread for going on 4 or 5 years, havent been to the forum in 3 years, and I just get an email telling me about this thread, the latest post reference "239" lol. Im in Lehigh Acres!!!
 
I just read past few posts and noticed alot of talk about the prices and quality.

A few years ago, I was getting mids for $80 - $100 oz and high quality for $240 - $280.

Now, worse mids is $120 oz and worse "high quality" is $340 ounce.

I got better prices when I was still a Senior

Well that is strange. At one point(2008-2010) mids(for me that was seedless brick) was going for 200oz, and high quality went anywhere from 325-500. In the 239(2010-2013) high quality was going for 300-400. Wholesale you could get stuff 225-300.
 
The mids im speaking of was seeded brick both times but the high quality was from the same dude 1 oz at a time for 240 to 280 all thru 2010 - 2012. And another guy from 2011 was supposed California medical for $280 or $300 oz at a time. Every week he had different bud and every ounce had at least one 4 to 5 gram nug Always seed less, small stems, smooth, and knock your dick in the dirt.

I mean the high quality now isnt bad, but loaded with big stems, and just looks and smells really good. Effect wise, slighty better than mids. And thats $350 a oz.

But I guess from what you are saying I dont have it that bad... just wish it were legal already so I can throw some seeds into my veggie garden
 
In Lehigh,lol thats like right around the bend from me.I use to deal with a guy who got his stuff from Cali,and was about $120 a quartr usualy,but I quit dealing with him over a year ago,he had the best quality of anyone I bought from though.Rarely found seeds and little to no stems.But when I did find seeds,I always had some really good results from growing them.This was from either Grandaddy purp that he would sell me or it would be Sour Diesel,anything else never had seeds.
 
I remember around 2001. The mids were "real" not brick weed. Brick weed was always regs to me. Real mids disappeared and descent brick weed took its spot...Real miss are similar to kush. Nice fluffy buds maybe 5 seeds. And delivered a good buzz. Brick weed has always been regs
