Any ideas on how to power for say a small(big) 6000 Watt indoor setup under the radar????

-This would be done in an apartment so if generator used: How could keep sound COMPLETELY quiet.
And also not hazardous.

wouldnt do it in an apartment complex, no way, just asking for trouble and power isnt the biggest concern, the smell would, even if oyu get a decent 6000 op going the smell would very strong.

Unless you grow autos in Miracl-Gro

say what? That's just stupid, Auto's smell just as dank and the soil has absolutely nothing to do with smell.

to op: not going to happen unless you pay your own utilities. These people who pay for utilities in rentals keep a close eye on power consumption and will raise questions on the first month.

Buy a bunch of 3KW wind generators. And some inverters, and some batteries. :) .. Hey tell them you're earth friendly, you dont wanna use their electricity that polutes the environment..

apartment ..............there is not way to do it hidden atleast
1 wind power............to do that u would need 10 600w or 1 of the 10k
2 solar power...........cover the roof and part of the building for 6000w a hour
3 geo thermal power ...........no clue how this one is done

your best bet is a combo of solar and wind ......and that will only help lower the power bill and even those u need battery banks so u are losing space in your place

think about converting over to all LED and lower your over all useage ..............or set up something for a home biz that u can use to justify the power use (server farm for computers )

Kitchen Top Nuclear Fusion is old shit now, and in many parts of the world many large cities are powered by the simplest nuclear rectors, the tech is really really old too, like building a radio or some such ...and many of the parts can be found at old .gvt auctions, and the raw materials can easily ordered by mail order
note: you may require are large body of water to do the cooling as things can get toasty

Generators are loud and not discreet, the one I tried anyways. I got one from costco and had it on the side of the house. A couple months later the power went out in the area from a wind storm so I tried it out. The neighborhood was dark and quiet and I cranked it up and that shit was loud, like jet turbine loud. I turned it off and returned it a couple weeks later.

I'm sure theres a solution, but if youre living in an apartment, the possible solutions will be out of your budget...

I was kinda thinking fuel cell's.. ;) I guess they can make them for cars now, ive only seen one and that was on a military base. Not sure where you're gonna get your fuel...

The only genset Ive seen that could possibly do it is like the ones on an rv, like I have a 4KW onan genset, its not exactly loud, but its not exactly quiet either. If you could run that in an apartment and have nobody notice.. that would be amazing.. Now those little honda handheld generators looks like a huge lunch box, put around 1 kw, and are really quiet, but you need about 6 of those. Too bad they are around 1000 buck a each.

Wait a Moment! remember 10 years or so ago these guys in Canada, growing volumes in a remote bunker in used railway carriages, and had a 10 ton diesel truck filling the generators daily ...?
