kelp danger?

Just listened to a news headline on stitcher radio stating that kelp soaks up radioactive isotopes like a sponge.

The content was re: fukishima
Testing kelp to see how much radiation has reached us.

They also stated that they still find radiation from the 60s.

Im sure they test before they sell it to us but I thought it was interesting.

Will the ocean products we use to grow soon be taboo

Yes maaybe it will, maybe it wont. The earth heals itself but when it comes to radiation we will never know in our lifetime.
I WAS wondering how much of that Cali weed is radioactive
Also found out foods and things shipped from Japan have toxic levels of lead and radiation amongst other shits. US still hasnt stopped all imports from Japan

Well we get our kelp from the Norwegian Sea between Greenland and Norway. No where near japan

Cali ain't exactly neighbors with Japan either. Currents can carry shit far and wide.

I've been thinking on this one too for a while. Wonder if it effects stuff like crab shell meal and oyster shell flour too? Probably doesn't accumulate in shells like it would kelp, but still.....

It is on the west coast. Sea life is washing up on shores and cancer is up. Child birth defects are way up as well. And still today dumping millions of gallons of bad water daily.

well... there have been plenty of other horrible things dumped into the environment prior to fukushima...

A little saying we adopted in my regions when i was younger: "it's all bad!" (kinda like "it's all good!" but cynically humorous, because really, it's already too late)

I was thinking about this subject a while ago. Was wondering to myself if a organic nute regimen heavy on ocean based products would be more likely to have a high heavy metal amount built up. Like with fish based ferts, pregnant chicks arent supposed to eat a lot of seafood while they are preggers because they could be taking in harmful amounts of mercury if they eat fish often, the bigger the fish the less often you're supposed to eat it.
