How much can I increase PPM in late veg?

Hi all! Thanks for coming into this thread… I'm having a yellowing issue in late veg. I just transplanted and did a feeding at about 650 PPM on the 500 scale… I'm using the simple Flora Nova Series and the plants are in peat moss..

In the Flora Nova Series, Flora Nova Grow has the most nitrogen, which is what they probably need… I was thinking doing another feeding and increasing the Flora Nova Grow for more nitrogen and keeping everything else the same.

What do you think is the PPM I could increase it to without nute burn??? Any other ways I can green these girls up is greatly appreciated! I want to do everything we can! Thank you!!!

How old are the plants? What strain? Ph????

Your ppm is actually high enough for a completely healthy plant, so it may not be lack of nutrients that are the problem. PH could be an issue.

And if it's not ppms, raising them to "correct" the wrong problem could burn the plants on top of the initial issue.

I think you need a good diagnosis first.

Check runoff ph and see we're it's at never used peat moss based mixes but I heard they can fluctuate in the ph area 650 ppm is pretty good spot to be in full veg that's where I'm at in coco most I would push in veg is 800ppm

Thanks guys… Well, here's the thing I forgot to mention… There was concern there may be mold growing on the bottoms of the pots, so when they were in 3 gallon pots (Now in 7), they were given a watering with just hydrogen peroxide… We were told to make sure the dirt was entirely soaked during the watering, which was way too much water for them… It ended up being over a week until they needed watered again, and that happened just after they were transplanted… They were completely root bound when they were transplanted.

PH of the water is about 6.5… OG Kush.. I haven't been able to water enough for a run off yet since they were just transplanted.

With Flora Nova, you are supposed to feed just plain water once a week… I'm thinking since the last one was a light feeding because I didn't have any run off, do another feed with nutes… especially after they have been sucking down hydrogen peroxide water for a week…

If I had to guess I would think your pH might be off since it appears to have more than one deficiency. If pH isnt off then they probably are just hungry for more nutes.

I am using Floranova Bloom with RO water in straight coco, my first time using straight coco and synthetic nutes. I am feeding 500-600ppm, same .5 scale as you so 1-1.2EC, at 1 week 12/12 (about 5-6 weeks from rooted clones), havent adjusted pH at all and they are perfectly healthy and green.

Maybe your peat moss medium is throwing your pH out of wack? I dont know, but I know Floranova buffers pH itself pretty well within an acceptable range without adjusting with pH up or down, for me it is giving me no issues. I am hand watering drain to waste (substantial runoff each watering) feeding with FNB every watering, never giving plain water between feedings.

I've been doing 6.5 PH for the water, so I don't think it's that… I think from my having to use hydrogen peroxide and giving them such a heavy watering with no nutes did it… They grew a ton during that week and didn't have any notes because they didn't need watered… I've been doing 6.5 for PH because I heard peat moss can lower the PH for some people… I can't test the run off because I haven't done a feeding heavy enough to soak the soil because they were just transplanted…

I was thinking to give them a heavy feeding like our man says here and possibly foliar feeding them. We have Verde here that has a ton of nitrogen (16%)… I could use that to foliar and probably Floralious plus, which has 2% nitrogen I believe…

What do you think?

My question really is how much can I push the limits in my next feeding… How high can I get the PPM and should I soak the soil since they were just transplanted 3 days ago?

Oh, and what notes to use at what level… GH calls for 4 ML Nova Grow, 2.5 Root, 1 ML Floralious Plus… I added Silica and Calmg at average doses last time as well, which General Hydroponics does not call for, but some people have recommended it…

I'm curious to know what all you would do with these nutes in hand and my current situation.. Any input helps a ton.. thanks :)

dude, just use flora nova bloom @ 8ml per gallon. Its lucas formula in 1 bottle hahaha. it will bring your ppm to about 950 @ 500 (~2.0 EC)which is all you will need from start to mid bloom. or you can mix the 2 during transition period to make it 1-1-1 @ 4ml per nova grow/bloom per gallon.

I was going to wait a few days to try to green the girls up before putting into flower, so I'm assuming you mean whenever I go into flower, add the bloom in… Right??
