Looking for experienced growers advice and seems like new products coming out every week. I went ahead and got the
Galaxy Grow Amp Select-A-Watt 1000W Turbo Charge 400/600/1000 - 120/240 Volt, like its stealth and lowest RFI interference, Ushio pro plus de bulb '2100 u/mol', and the 8" air cooled AC/DE reflector and a 4x4 Secret Jardin tent with orca film just came out on the market 20% more direct light and 50% more indirect light! after this run imma get the AT600 and due a comparison text with GGG GSOG clones

Your thinking of the Gavita Pro again

Galaxy® state-of-the-art HID ballasts are manufactured to provide today's serious grower with maximum flexibility & performance. The Galaxy® Select-A-Watt® is the preferred electronic ballast on the market, offering the ability to run multiple wattage lamps or dim the highest wattage (defined by model). Galaxy ballasts have an incorporated staggered low current starting feature to avoid inrush problems when running multiple ballasts. The Galaxy low voltage ignition is easier on the lamp start, reducing arc tube wall blackening resulting in a longer more stable lamp life. Galaxy® Grow Amp ballasts feature the industry's lowest RFI broadband emissions. The Galaxy® brand name carries a strong reputation of reliability and performance. Galaxy® Grow Amp™ ballasts come pre-wired with a Sun System® lamp cord receptacle. They are compatible with all Sun System® branded reflectors.

The Galaxy Grow Amp has the lowest RF interference of any ballast on the market due to its RF interference absorbing features that make it the first and currently the only ballast that is FCC approved for commercial and residential use.

Gavita pro de has ballast mounted on bulb, no cord which inhibits rf issues

lots of ballasts are fcc approved, didn't know there was a residential and commercial listing

It is the ballast to lamp cord that indeed acts as an antenna to broadcast RF. Use of shielded cable that is bonded to a low ohm ground has limited but not eliminated this phenomenon in my experience.

High frequency ballasts are the offending culprits.

Low frequency square wave has a better power factor and less potential for interference.

Perhaps a hortilux platinum cranking a DE bulb would be a contender. Testing required.

If I was to go to DE, it would be the gavita, I'm still doing my research and getting feedback but I would pick that one.

The only thing holding me back from getting one is Im not setup for 240, intentional delay in upgrades tho.

I haven't used this forum in 4 years, it's good to see everyone is still growing, I have been too! I have been searching for info on Gavita pro 1000e results, to no avail..... so I decided to try one out! I have previously used magnetics, and currently run lumatek and phantom digitals(not de). I just received my gavita, so it will be awhile before I know anything, but I must say, it is brighter(1000w) to my eye(I know this is technically useless, but impressive nonetheless) than any other light I have ever seen, and the stats say my eyes aren't lying! I haven't had it long enough to change the power yet. BTW the new 1000e runs on 120v now, so no need to upgrade circuit above!,although I would run on 240v if possible. Please let me know of any relevant info on these lights, or if I am posting in the wrong spot, I'm not so good with these forums.....
