Whats up friend... My question is: Because i have a 400w mh and a 600w hps " can i use the same ballast?

Get yourself a lumatek or maxibright digital/dimmable ballast.

I have the maxi bright. It has settings for 400, 440, 600 and 660 watts. You can run a 400w HPS on 400w and 440w and a 600w HPS on 600w 660w.

It will also run mh bulbs, but i believe they need to be on the correct setting ie 400w for 400w bulb and 600w for 600w bulb.

Hope that makes some sence. I payed £130 for my maxi bright. I've seen lumateks for 120.

No probs. They seem to have come down in price a lot too. If that link is showing them 30mquid cheaper than i paid a year ago there could be some real bargains out there

all good, my friend. I just didn't know what you were talking about. The weird thing about this site is, I've NEVER actually been on it while high, i'm at work, killing time, and i'm completely sober all the time, I don't get internet at my house (redwoods) so I may be the only one here that's always sober while posting. SO I miss some things I think being stoned may help me to comprehend... Know what I mean?
Kinda sucks honestly, but running an auto repair facility that works partially for the state, AND working on running engines that can dismember you, while high, um, isn't recommended.
