It wont put me in the street but seriously? Why bother? The government manipulates interest rates, lies about inflation and has their eyes on taking over 401K's *for the good of the people of course*

I own rental property and have Roth and regular IRA's invested in REIT's right now. But seriously, what is the incentive? Our government is very anti-business, anti-profit, anti-savings at the moment.

They will give you an IOU and make the investments *safer* at 3% a year or some such interest rate...

You dont think it is possible? If you dont pay for your own health care insurance the government will come knocking via the IRS to confiscate money from you... How much farther do they have to go to get to where I am talking about?

The last time the government got into a financial crunch it forced it's citizens to cough up all the gold in the country. It got paid back but if the country had gone bankrupt the people would have had useless paper. How much easier is it to transfer a bunch of electronic records??

I dont trust the government at all. I am not referring to one party or another anymore because they are all the same.

Would you feel comfortable betting your unborn child's life that it will be the world's currency in 50 years?

As to adult diapers, I know nothing of those.

Our credit rating was down graded. Our debt is absurd.

I plan on robbing a bank or conning older people than me. That will bring me the sweet life. Who cares if they catch me, I'll be close to death anyways. They can send me to prison where I can get free healthcare, meds, and a roof over my head.

More often than not, inability to put anything aside for retirement is a priorities issue, and not a true income issue.


I see plenty of people with the latest Samsung or Apple smart phone, cable TV (with premium channels, gotta have game of thrones), Netflix, a new or newer car with a nice payment, living in a 2 bedroom apartment as a single person with no kids, eating out for lunch most days at work, and i could go on...


Anyway, I don't know how many times I've heard those guys talking about not having any money to put back for retirement.


It's prioroties.


They have made a conscious decision that several luxuries are more important to them than putting back a couple hundred , or even one hundred bucks a month back.


Shit I started at 17 putting $25/month back.


Anything, at a young age, is better than nothing.

i have no internet at my current new place tv nor hone
im at my fucking mothers house online right now
i have a BACHELOR apartment with no kids, and i eat fucking vegetables for food.
i walk to work
i dont ever go out
i live pay check to pay check and i work fucking hard for it
i dont have luxuries
who are you to say you know my financial status

i work for 12$ an hour 6 hours a week, 5 days a week IM FUCKING LUCKY LUCKY theres no work ehre ive been to college AND UNIVERISTY 2 FUCKING TIMES, i have education out the fucking wazoo, and i fucking work cleaning a goddamn tour train wiping down toilets ....
people like you with that higher than thou attitude fucking make me sick i can barely afford to live let alone fucking go out or save money and you put me down in the hole youre a sick fucking person who thinsk they are the best of the goddamn best
