Heat vs. Humidity

Plugged a dehumidifier in in the flower room today more as a test right now as the humidity was not terrible (60F). I already had a couple of these Goldstar/Energy Star units and they seems pretty nice as it has a couple fans speeds, a limited timer option, as well as the ability to choose the humidity you want. I chose 55. In the dark today temps were reasonable even with the increased heat coming of the dehumidifier. The plan is to turn it off when the lights come on, but tonight I left it on to see how it performed. Even with my 600W, MH the temps still stayed around 80 with outside temps lowering.

Question though is...Is it better to have humidity of 60 and temps of 75, or humidity of 50 and temps of ...say 85...in the middle of flower??

for first time I'm battling temps 86.6 highest and thats with 6" exhaust at speed 1. i keep watching mine every few hours since temps went up to monitor them no significant changes I'm in 7-8 weeks of flower my self with new girls that just arrived.

I am not claiming to know any science behind this...
... but I like to keep my closet a bit dryer during mid to late flowering.
Based on my past experience, If the air is dry, the plants seem to produce more oils.

in mine its the Plasma light and cold ass water and that girl is nasty white

Wanted to bump this for possibly more input. Some hot and humid days going on...and I am trying to decide when to run the dehumidifier as it definitely heats up the room....

So again I would like opinions on...Is it better be at 60% humidity and 78F degrees or 50% humidity and 85 degrees during flower???

I am going to go with that and only run the dehumidifier when temps warrant. I have a general temp/humidity growing chart that I consulted often during veg and this answer is more in line with it...but these high temp/high humidity days and nights have me pushing the limits and trying to find some sort of equilibrium. No powdery mold yet. Thank you for chiming in.

If you have any rooms adjacent to the flower room put the dehumidifier in another room and leave it running on 40%, it will cycle the air from other rooms as long as the rooms are not airtight.

Yeah, unfortunately (or fortunately) my grow room is pretty airtight and it sits inside a 35'x55' pole barn. Thanks though...next summer I will be considering an air conditioning setup that will have the unit outside the grow room.
