I have a question about these products priced like liquid gold. If they're really cost effective, why don't commercial greenhouse growers use them? Why aren't there dozens of mysterious concoctions sold to lettuce and cucumber growers? It seems like this stuff is peculiar to cannabis. Is there really something peculiar to this plant, or is it peculiar to our hobbyist mentality? (I.e., not as objective and cost effective as a commercial grower requires.).
Lettuce and cucumbers are not very valuable by the pound like cannabis, negating the incentive to use higher quality synthetics. Also unless your seeking out farmers markets your at the mercy of the quality of the grocery store and their supplier. Its one thing to spend a few hundred on higher quality nutrients to grow a few pounds of cannabis that can hopefully get you at least 2k/lb wholesale, and a different story all together to spend that kind of money on lettuce that is very cheap at the wholesale level.
I know personally at least 5 warehouse growers using Advanced buying bases in 10 gallon sizes and additives by the gallons....Two of the best growers that shop at the store I work at use Advanced exclusively, despite my advise that their are other products in certain areas that perform better than Advanced products.
Heavy 16 is another high priced line that is used by a few commercial growers I know. Other than that most of the commercial growers are running the Flora series. I think Grow More over the next few years will really take off in my area by the larger scale growers. I have been recommending it to growers looking to stretch their dollar and everyone is very pleased with the results.
As soon as the laws change in my state and I can cultivate on a larger scale with a state legal way to distribute, I have no intention of changing my "expensive" feeding program.
