I have been reading a lot on CBD and normal MMJ treating kids with Autism. My girlfriend's son has autism he is high functioning so he's a pretty normal good kid, but he has his moments and has his "melt downs " as we call it and it's really hard to deal with and he's on two diff types of meds that seem to work some what. I've read that normal THC MMJ works good but I've read also that CBD helps also and doesn't have the stoned/high effects that normal MMJ would. Does any one know about this or at least know where I could go to talk to a Dr. about this because it is a pretty touchy subject with using it with children. I hope it gets legalized up here in November to it'll be a lot easier to get him some meds that actually work and don't have a long list of side effects short term and long term use. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!!!!

cbd's are used to control pain and seizures, Thc is used to treat cancers and cancer treatment symptoms. I would think a good indica high in thc would be good as it has a calming effect.

Just saying but pure cbd still gets you high. I don't know where this came from

Also if weed does become legal or actually evaluated And regulated, it would have an even bigger list of possible side effects...

Well sure cold juiced product is barely decarbed. In high doses thca will still cross the Bb barrier, not cbda
I'm talking about pure cbd though. when we produce it, none is in the carboxylic form.
Go look into the pharmacology.
Cb receptors are but one piece, and a relatively minor role here.
It hits opiate receptors, 5ht and other signals and hormones are altered.
Maybe they should say it gives a different high. But cbd gets me fucked up.
If you don't have much of a tolerance you can feel it hit gabba and nmda as well.. can't even walk straight

I have to ask, did you just read the Wikipedia page?

Thc is far more effective.

Since I edited nothing out (pretty sure) I'm confused. But I suppose that could come across a certain way.
Usually all my posts are edited a couple times. I find I always have more to say. Sometimes I think I should put in my SIG to check back in an hour. Usually happens after I smoke, like right now

No shit... wtf happened in here?? Hey bro theres some shops in town that are carrying straight cbd's right now. I dont wanna blast anybody out but if you go shopping around town (at our kind of shops) you can grab a tube of straight cbd oil

Well I was out slayin salmon yesterday in brutal seas and was stoked to get home and see another AK post. Stoked to get into it til I read it... and was like WTF? This ain't my AK peeps, I mean, it's pretty cool to see more "Well-known Members" in here fo sho, I'm talking chuck and quizo, you dudes know your shit at least in some areas and I've appreciated/learned from your posts lurking elsewhere on RIU. But on this one I'm only getting part the story since apparently at least one person's pulled posts, which is fine since they're apparently off-topic anyway.

RIU is so ca-ray-zee in so many forums. it doesn't affect me except that threads end up too damn long. But I've appreciated the supportive and mostly-no-bullshit vibe here in AK Med. I also learned the effectiveness of the "ignore" option,8)8)8), and appreciate a mod's (GWN?) bootin a select flaming asshole a few months back too.:clap:

Far as the OP, I don't have much to offer so best of luck finding answers, hopefully the blowup here has a positive affect of drawing someone in who has qualified answers for you!
