How does anyone really even know this?

That would be a typical cat move though. To one up a dog….
I agree with the first part, just trying to understand the second. You probably weren't around for the Cats vs Dogs threads. They can be resurrected but it really is a pointless love hate time bomb.
My argument is cats and dogs are in a different category completely. Will a cat hunt you your food? no. Will a cat protect your ass from criminals/strangers, no. Like comparing Birds to Fish. Irrevelant. I have nothing against cats except when people compare them to dogs.
(end rant)
Sorry if I'm off point just tired of people comparing cats to dogs.
Edit: I think I get your humor now, a cat lady no?

Not being critical of dogs. I meant cats think their shit doesn't stink, so it's typical that a stuck up cat would try and make a dog look stupid. (it was meant to be funny) Cat owners would get it. I like dogs, and agree w/ you, but I LOVE cats. But cats actually DO hunt for their humans. That's why they leave "gifts" of mice, snakes, squirrels, rabbits, and birds on your doorstep.

You can only compare them as pets, not any other way IMO. apples and oranges. We had dogs all our lives until a couple years ago. Can't beat them for loyalty. Although there are studies stating that the loyalty is a myth and if you ran out of food they'd leave in a heartbeat to find food elsewhere. At any rate, they are great companions. We just don't have a lifestyle to support another dog now. Travel too much.

Can understaand the travel part. I would forcefully state the loyalty has to do with breed and or owner.
Yeah Yeah studies this studies that. Get a dog that was born and raised by your side he'll get you food and fend for himself. Course you lock him in a cage or keep him indoors that's a different story. I hate to argue but it's all about the freedom/ ownership. Like you said apples oranges.
