OK so more growth, I'm trying to create a flat canopy type bush, where the side shoots rise as I keep the main stem down and hopefully give me several tasty colas! I'm thinking I probably shouldn't have topped it so early on but I'll just see how it goes, a lot of growth recently...

If u look closely u can see that one side shoot is already spurting up, this is why I think iv topped too early but I'll try keep the tops down as long as I can.

OK so been vegging this girl since she sprouted about the 12th of July so about 6 weeks in, and its now becoming the plant I wanted.

It's very low still only an inch or two above the trough but now has 5 main tops which I hope will become 5 nice juicy colas!

Only thing is not sure when too flip the lights, how much stretch should I allow for now iv created the even canopy? Running with 2 65 watt 5500k bulbs and a 65 2700k (actual wattage) cfls about 2 inches above the tops (produces optimum temps). Here's some snaps this morning.

As far as height goes, it seems you got plenty of room. I guess it all comes down to when your ready. Good luck.

Yeah that's exactly why I wanted too attempt this trough method, should hopefully give me a fairly decent yield considering the small space.

Getting bushier! About 6 decent tops now, I'm wondering whether it's a good idea too top some of these new tops? Will this give me more budsites or just a bigger bush? Not sure how to go on this one any help would be great guys.

On the plus side iv not burnt this plant with nutes and it's looking extremely healthy! The plants original tops have stopped shooting up the next day as I tie them down leaving the other branches to really establish themselves.

I think my next grow will be a scrog grow, and I'll be switching my lighting to a hg hydroponics UFO style 180watt led. Hopefully some better yields.

If you are flowering this week, the fresh cut tops might not recover soon enough to get max effect. You would have more budding sites I would imagine.

I'm with you on the led option, I want to learn more about DIY led setup. Some people on here have been doin some awesome stuff with em. Still lookin real healthy by the way.

Yeah that's what I'm thinking, think I'll just veg the rest of the week and see how my budsites look, probably won't do anymore cutting I don't want this run to take too long!

Thanks man I appreciate it, and iv been doing a bit of research to led I hope to maximise my space using a combination of led and cfl.

Yes as long as you use a screen that's large enough for the three plants, it shouldn't be a problem.

Although I have now changed my mind about the scrog, and I'm going to use a technique called 'mainlining' you should look into it.

So I can't help but take pictures every time I visit the strawberry-blue! So may as well post them, people with little to no space take note this plant takes up an amazing small amount of room so far, not sure how much it'll stretch in flower but I'm impressed so far.

So I realised after the last time I tried the tops down the dominance had switched too 4 of the colas at the back, so iv tied them to the sides of the pot to even the canopy out allow so stronger last minute central growth before I switch to flower... Feeling I could of grown a much larger plant in the time it's taken, I don't think I'll be doing this again..

Hey bro! Good to hear you got new sh*t going on!!
She looks great. From what I've seen and heard, stretching depends mainly on the percentage of the indica/sativa in her genetics.
The more sativa, the more the stretch during flowering! So, be careful and plan ahead!
I hope I'll be checking again sometime soon, so stay stealthy bro!!
I'm sure you'll be seeing some (more like "many") fat nugs!! Enjoy!
Cheers!!!!
